How Tigress® Yoga actually creates change in women's lives 🐅

I recorded this after our last Tigress® Path Experience workshop in Cairns last weekend -

What I'm speaking to is the actual ripple effects that this devotional feminine embodiment practice has:

It's a designated time & place to finally get
honest, truthful, REAL with yourself
- behind the stories and deeper than the surface

Your voice is allowed, your raw expression is invited as a somatic pathway to reconfigure all those unspoken words and emotions you've habitually pushed down or cut off

Your body can finally relax with ease
Your mind can let go of needing to have it all together

You've finally given yourself PERMISSION to just be where you're actually at

Without any explanation to others
Or expectation to be a certain way

This authenticity is what creates coherence in you
And ripples out to the women's circle we're in

It becomes this natural sound bath ~ all of us in our rhythms and yet so connected to one another ✨️

Awareness widened
Alert, but not afraid
Present to what is right here

A Tigress knows her strength and power
She will use if necessary, but has no need to flaunt or prove herself
Her mere primal presence is captivating enough and demonstrates her grace
She uses her voice and is not afraid to make her anger known

A Tigress knows when to rest and when to hunt
Action steps are purposeful
Rest is balanced and without guilt
She knows her place amongst the jungle and upholds the balance & harmony within and around her

It is truly a gift to be able to feel so deeply

I didn't always see (or feel) it that way

'You're so sensitive'
Were words thrown at me like a curse or burden to bear

As if being able to feel the textures of not only myself but those around me was a bad thing..

Sometimes it was too much.

The little things start to add up until everything feels catastrophic
Exploding over micro annoyances
Or crying in disproportion to the circumstances

Most of us haven't actually been shown how to be with and move with our emotions.. it hasn't been role modeled or felt safe to

As a result, we swing hard on the pendulum between numb or total collapse

It isn't serving anyone - and it's exhausting

When I discovered Tigress® Yoga, I finally found a pathway to feel my feelings and allow my body let go of all the pent up emotions.. in a way that just makes sense as a woman (body-mind-spirit)

It goes deeper than anything my mind could attempt to convince myself as impactful- because it's entirely designed for our female body structure & psyche.

It's so much more than a "yoga" practice

It's a living, breathing, dynamic spiral of movement - breath - sounds to allow spaciousness from the unravelling that naturally occurs

Tigress® anchors us home in our heart &womb (body), clears the noise from deep inside (mind), and supports to bridge a Source aligned-Earth connection (spirit) from within.

It's a practice that allows us to really meet ourselves and learn how to take up space in our bodies ~ which ripples out into the rest of relationships & lives

Are there certain emotions you feel more comfortable with than others?

We like to feel "good"
There's nothing wrong with that

Nobody wants to feel "bad"

But who decides what's "good" and "bad"?

Somewhere along the way, you did.

You were shown that joy, happiness, compassion, excitement, empathy, love
are welcomed and encouraged..
On an ‘acceptable level’ of expression

An unspoken expectation to strive towards as your baseline

But what of the others?
Your anger, grief, jealousy, anxiety, despair, frustration, rage, disgust

Were you shown the same level of acceptance and encouragement to feel these important emotions too?

Likely not
our society and familial upbringing have role modeled and micromanaged us to package it all up neat & tidy

intellectualizing them rather than allowing the full expression to come & go
Repressed with a masked smile that it's all okay
But is it really?

You can’t let yourself be messy.. or raw in the authenticity of what you're feeling

It makes others uncomfortable
And you've been *trained* to orient your actions for others to accept and love you, conditionally

and now it feels like too much for you to go there.

So you leave it. Avoid it. Let it fester in the cage you've subconsciously locked them away in -

And then you find yourself wondering why you feel off.
Like what in front of you is never enough

But here’s the thing:

When you cut yourself off, go numb or collapse into the overwhelm of those “not good” feelings,
You’re doing the same for the feelings you desire to be feeling too...

Woman, you know the saying - "the only way out is through".
Your emotions have something to show you ~ will you open that doorway to your innerworld?

A consistent re-meeting of what it is you are feeling... the sensations, the emotions, the stories as they arise and go.

We've been taught to think about our feelings instead of actually FEELING them ✨️

Hands up if you've been called
'too sensitive'
'too emotional'
Or that 'you think too much'

As women, we are innately designed to have big nurturing hearts, empathy as our baseline and to feel deeply. It's truly a gift 🙏

But that 'too much-ness' leaves an imprint

It distorts the truth of what is happening and we unconsciously & habitually start to close down, shut off, minimise the rawness in order not to ruffle feathers - make others uncomfortable - or as time goes on..

Because we don't feel safe in ourselves to feel what needs to be felt...

Grief
Anger
Sadness
Betrayal
Regret
Jealousy
Heartache

These emotions come with feelings & sensations that may not "feel good" in your body
Or, let's reframe - comfortable, familiar, safe

So what do you do?
Dismiss
Cut off from your body
Think about it - enough to avoid it or distract yourself

But just because you think 'I'm sad'
Doesn't mean it goes away. Resolved. Complete

No. Your emotions will await the opportunity to spring up and be felt. Often at inappropriate or in disproportion to what's actually happening



As a woman, here's what you can do to start to unravel that pattern:

- Start noticing your feelings as they happen. Acknowledge by placing a hand on your Heart or Womb, or wherever you feel it happening ~ almost like an internal nod to say 'I feel you'

- Breathe with your Heart or Womb, let out sighs and sounds with each exhale. Let it be real. Let it be honest. Keep repeating until you feel the shift

- Added layer: surround yourself with other woman who embody their feelings too. Let it become normal to be with the challenges, the rawness, the realness of being a deep feeling woman

Tigress® Yoga is a devotional practice that creates momentum and true inner alignment for us to walk the Tigress® Path ~ embodying your version of Feminine Wholeness ⭕️

These upcoming Tigress® Yoga classes are the foundationary levels to begin to explore what that really means for you & deepen your relationship with the textures of You

Held within a women's circle ~ we co-create a place of true feminine nourishment on many levels

Each week we deepen and spiral our way through the somatic pathways that foster nervous system replenishment

The women from our last series have been asking and here we are 🕊 with an added 15 mins extra time at the end to fully bask in the self-sourced oxytocin bath (it's so intoxicatingly delicious and deserves all the space to fully receive ✨️)
