Much of the healing space is focused on becoming - a better version, a higher self, a more evolved identity.

But what if healing isn’t about adding... it’s about shedding? Shedding the roles, patterns and protections your nervous system built to keep you safe.

When the body begins to feel safe enough, it will naturally start letting go of what it no longer needs. You don’t need to become more, you need to make space for something more honest to emerge. 🌸

I don’t just facilitate this work - I receive it too. Holding space for someone’s nervous system isn’t something you can learn purely intellectually.

It comes from meeting yourself in the same places. Feeling the resistance. Letting your body move through its own expression. Learning what safety actually feels like from the inside.

This is what allows me to hold others in it. Not by ‘fixing’ the body through protocols but by trusting the intelligence already there. This work isn’t about doing more. It’s about allowing what’s already happening underneath.

I love witnessing the wisdom the body is capable of. The body doesn’t need to be forced to release. It needs to feel safe enough to.

The psoas muscle is deeply connected to the nervous system and our fight/flight/freeze responses. When stress or trauma isn’t fully processed, the body can hold onto that tension and often we’re not even aware of it.

In my sessions, the body may begin to tremor or move as a way of discharging stored energy. The shaking, the positioning, the release - it’s innate intelligence. It’s the nervous system doing what it’s designed to do.

If a practitioner is always pushing for a big release or trying to take you ‘somewhere else’, they’re not actually helping your nervous system.

I want my clients leaving sessions with:
👉 more regulation
👉 more internal resources
👉 more connection to themselves
👉 more self-trust

If you are always needing someone else to get you to unwind, you’re not building capacity… you’re building reliance. 😳 I will always be there to support and guide my clients as needed, but my intention is to serve you in a way that fosters long-term regulation and lasting results.

This work is about coming back into relationship with your own body. Not handing that relationship over to someone else. 🌸

Some of what you’re healing isn’t stored in conscious memory. It’s held in implicit memory - the imprints within your nervous system, not your mind.

It can show up as:
🌿 patterns you can’t seem to break
🌿 emotional reactions that feel too big or not aligned with what you think later
🌿 a constant sense of tension, urgency or shutdown
🌿 feeling unsafe even when life looks ‘fine’

This is where energy work becomes powerful. Through the body, the nervous system and the energetic field, we begin to access what was never able to be consciously processed.

Not to relive it but to release it. To let the body complete what it couldn’t at the time. Healing isn’t always about remembering more. Sometimes it’s about feeling safe enough to let go.

This work is for you if you’ve done the mindset work… but your still feel like you’re holding on. Follow if you’re ready to heal what your mind can’t reach. 🤍

There’s a different kind of vulnerability that arises when we work in the heart space, especially in the seated position. A position where we choose not to hide and have the courage to be present with what is held here.

Heart space work can support the parts of you that have learned to protect, close or hold, from:
❤️‍🩹 heartbreak or relationship loss
❤️‍🩹 feeling rejected or abandoned
❤️‍🩹 grief that was never fully felt
❤️‍🩹 years of overgiving or people-pleasing
❤️‍🩹 betrayal or loss of trust
❤️‍🩹 holding everything together for everyone else
❤️‍🩹 the ache of not feeling safe to be fully seen

In my sessions, we create safety for the body to soften, for the nervous system to unwind, for what’s been held to gently express. Allowing the heart to remember it doesn’t have to stay closed. 🤍

This month in sessions, one theme kept moving through… Grief.

Grief for what was. Grief for what wasn’t. Grief for the way the world feels right now.

The nervous system is holding more than we often realise. Energetically, grief often shows up through the lungs and heart - the lungs reflecting what needs to be let go and the heart holding the emotional weight.

When grief is intentionally supported, witnessed and allowed, it can move, soften and transform. If you’ve been feeling heavy, tender, overwhelmed or disconnected - this is your invitation to be supported. In-person and online sessions are open. 🤍

This isn’t something being directed, it’s the body’s natural way to release and unwind.

Rhythmic movement like this is just one way the nervous system processes and reorganises.

Others can look like:
🌿 spontaneous breath changes
🌿 heat or tingling through the body
🌿 subtle shaking or trembling
🌿 emotional release (tears, laughter)
🌿 muscle twitches or unwinding patterns

Different bodies have different expressions, but it’s the same underlying intelligence. The body knows how to come out of holding when it feels safe enough to.

A lot of what’s shared as nervous system regulation just creates short-term state change. They help drop the body into a parasympathetic state. And although these can be helpful in the moment, regulation isn’t really about how quickly you can bring your body back to a calm state.

Regulation is really about capacity. How much your system can move through - stress, emotion, life - without becoming overwhelmed, shutting down or dissociating.

Building this capacity helps to shape how you respond, not just how you cope. This is where the deeper work matters. In Spinal Energetics, we work with these deeper tension patterns and energetic layers to help you find more space, more capacity and more regulation.
