It was great to be back at my old stomping ground, Gurriny Yealamucka Health Services Aboriginal Corporation, for a day of allergy outreach today 🦐🥜🌾

There’s always a smile and someone ready for a yarn in Yarry. I got to catch up with old friends that feel like family, meet friendly new faces and take the time to hear the stories of patients navigating this crazy world of allergies.

Thanks for having me! I’ll be back next year!!!!

PS: a few quiet moments by the sea on the way home was just what the doctor ordered 🥰

It was an absolutely beautiful week in clinic this week and a lovely reminder of all the things that make it easy to love my job 🥰

💚 The opportunity to share my knowledge and educate and empower those walking in the allergy trenches
🩵 Challenging cases that help me learn and grow as a clinician, keep me up to date and allow me to collaborate with my amazing colleagues
💙 A rich breadth of presentations and conditions that means no two days are ever the same

👩‍⚕️ Meet Dr. Sarah Fairhall 👩‍⚕️

Dr Sarah is a local GP Allergist. She has established Far North Allergy- the regions first private AND local children’s allergy clinic - in Cairns to meet the needs of our region.

Born in Brisbane and raised in Townsville, Dr Sarah completed her university medical training at James Cook University and has continued her commitment to rural and regional health care by working in Atherton, Mareeba, Cairns, Cooktown, Hervey Bay, Longreach and Yarrabah throughout her career.

As a GP, Dr Sarah has always had a special interest in caring for children but over the last 7 years her passion for managing childhood allergy has blossomed. With formal post-graduate qualifications, extensive hands-on training, continued specialist mentoring and a commitment to lifelong learning your child is in experienced hands with Dr Sarah.

Outside the office Dr Sarah enjoys catching up with friends and curling up with a good book.
