🌺 We’re Hiring PNG & Torres Strait Islander Support Workers 🌺
Do you speak Tok Pisin / Pidgin and have experience supporting people with Dementia or behavioural needs? We would love to hear from you!

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, culturally aware support workers from Papua New Guinea or the Torres Strait to join our team.

🗓 Shifts: flexible and family-friendly)
🧡 About the Role:
You will be supporting participants who require:
• Dementia‑informed care
• Behavioural support
• Social connection
• Community access
• Daily living assistance
• Cultural understanding and respectful communication

🎓 Extensive Training Provided:
We offer full, ongoing training to ensure you and the participant feel confident, safe, and supported.

Training includes:
✔ Dementia support
✔ Behavioural support strategies
✔ Safety & wellbeing
✔ Culturally responsive care
✔ NDIS practice standards

📄 Requirements:
• Speaks Tok Pisin / Pidgin
• PNG or Torres Strait background preferred
• Experience with Dementia or behavioural participants
• NDIS Worker Screening
• Police Check
• First Aid & CPR
• Driver’s licence + reliable vehicle
• Warm, patient, community‑minded personality

As the year comes to a close, the team at Redirection will be taking a well-deserved break to rest, reset, and spend time with loved ones.

Redirection Care Services & Cairns Quality Care celebrated a combined end of year Christmas party for our staff. This was our very first Christmas party celebration as Redirection Care, a milestone and a gift in itself. We had the most incredible time, laughing, eating, dancing and just taking every moment in with gratitude.

Redirection Care is beyond blessed to be in collaboration with incredible industry peers whose values not only align with ours but who serves with the heart we have. We’re ready to dig our heels in & bring it in 2026, bigger and better.
