I GET IT - BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO AT MIDNIGHT WHEN YOUR BABY IS SO MISERABLE FROM BODY ACHES?!
It's being the medicine of your home, it's learning from Mend & Mother so that you KNOW what to do.
This is about showing you another way so you no longer have to worry about the never ending research arising from pharmaceuticals.
You have done your best but now you know better. You do better 👏🏼
This is how I trusted my instincts to avoid unnecessary medication while pregnant and breastfeeding. ITS THE KNOWING!
A fever is your body’s natural defense mechanism, signaling that your immune system is actively fighting off pathogens. Suppressing this response with medications like ibuprofen (Nurofen) or paracetamol (Panadol) can interfere with your body's ability to combat infections effectively. While these medications can alleviate discomfort, they may also prolong illness by dampening the immune response.
⚠️ Risks of Common Medications
Ibuprofen (Nurofen): Generally considered safe during breastfeeding, but its use during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, is discouraged due to potential risks such as premature closure of the ductus arteriosus in the fetus and kidney issues.
Paracetamol (Panadol): Widely used and considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when taken as directed. However, recent studies have raised concerns about potential links to neurodevelopmental disorders like autism and ADHD. While these findings are not conclusive, they underscore the importance of cautious use and consultation with healthcare providers.
