🌻 19–25 October is Invisible Disabilities Week.

Many Victorians live with disabilities you can’t see.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Australia & New Zealand is a simple way to show when someone may need extra time, understanding or support in daily life.

By recognising the sunflower, we can all help build more inclusive communities.

We’re proud to be part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network! 🌻

Not all disabilities are visible. Some, like autism, anxiety, chronic pain or hearing loss, are hidden and may not be instantly recognised.

By joining this global initiative, we are helping make the invisible visible. Staff across our customer contact centres, libraries, and community venues are now trained to support Sunflower wearers.

🌻 If you or someone you know lives with a hidden disability, you can pick up a Sunflower lanyard from any Council customer contact centre.

Together, we’re building a more inclusive Sunshine Coast – where everyone feels welcomed, respected and understood. πŸ’›

Not all disabilities are visible.

The Sunflower is a simple way for people with non-visible disabilities to discreetly share that they may need a little extra time, understanding or support in public spaces.

You might see someone wearing a Sunflower lanyard, badge or wristband, now you know what it means.

Let’s help more people recognise the Sunflower πŸ‘‰ https://shorturl.at/kn07v
