IMPORTANT UPDATE TO EVERYONE

Dear All,

Macarthur Disability Services have provided multiple support groups to the community throughout the years, with Family Connections Support Group continuing to be delivered with Julie Murphy as the groups lead facilitator.

Unfortunately over the last six months we have seen a significant decline in the patronage, and would like to inform you that Family Connections Support Group will be closing. On a brighter note, we have seen an increase in local community support groups with many options now becoming readily available for all.

Thank you to everyone that has participated in this support group and please note there will be no future meetings.

We would like to thank Julie for her contributions and dedication to the group and we wish Julie all the best in her next ventures!

For a women's support group in the local area you can't go past Hands on Hearts Macarthur . Many of the women also have kids with disabilities but alot don't. This gives a great opportunity to connect with women on a women's level and not about the kids!!

I seen this advertised at our local library. They have so much information on their community boards. We are so lucky to have such a proactive ommunity

The Fishers Ghost Carnival Sensory Session, on Sunday the 5th of November, will open for bookings on the 25th of September. Tickets are limited and you can purchase a 2 hr ride pass for $20 on the day.

THIS WEDENSDAY IS THE 'CARING FOR PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY' DISABILITY EXPO 2023 AT THE WESTERN SUBURBS LEAGUES CLUB THAT WE HAVE BEEN MENTIONING AT THE MEETINGS FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW.
WEDNESDAY FROM 10-2:30PM. WITH MANY DIFFERENT SERVICES SHARING WHAT THEY HAVE ON OFFER.

Who would have thought that two mums wanting to give kids a great formal night, would turn into such a fabulous project supporting caring and providing for so many kids.
