There are so many reasons to be kind.
Kindness can increase your sense of connectivity with others, decrease loneliness, combat low mood and improve relationships. It also can be contagious, encouraging others to join in with their own generous deeds! Furthermore, acts of kindness release powerful chemicals in the brain, like oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine, elevating our mood, increasing reward stimuli and reducing stress. 
More importantly, it's important to be kind and understanding as people’s mental health struggles aren't always obvious.

As you embrace a slower, more intentional pace, you'll discover that life is far richer than the rush. Everyday holds opportunities to connect, reflect and find peace. Let go of the pressure to constantly keep up and instead choose to live in a way that nurtures your wellbeing. The shift might be subtle, but the rewards of living with purpose and mindfulness are profound. You deserve to enjoy the ride, not just rush to the destination.

Feeling grateful makes one happier and allows them to see things from a more positive perspective. Positivity rubs off, and when you feel more positive, you feel happier. With positive situations and positive thoughts, it’s hard to think of negative situations or negative thoughts. But why is that? It's because they are still there even when we feel overly grateful for all of the good. We are able to accept the negative thoughts or situations that we have or are in. When we accept whatever our circumstances are, we waste less energy on negative emotions such as rejecting or denying the negative. Instead, we are able to accept everything about our circumstances, taking in both the good and the bad.
