Thinking about how you could prevent your overthinking isn’t going to reduce stress.

What will help is taking small, simple actions to calm your body when your thoughts become too loud.

Count your breaths.
Notice each part of your body.
Take a walk.

You can’t be in stress (sympathetic nervous system) and relaxation (parasympathetic nervous system) at the same time.

So by creating more moments to calm and relax your body each day, you’re teaching it to feel safe in relaxation instead of in stress.

And yes, for a lot of us, stress has become what feels familiar. Safe.

Whether it’s past, present, or future stress, the more we experience it, the longer we run the stress program on autopilot.

But with practice, relaxation can begin to feel safe again.

Once you can see the list in your mind written down on paper, you can make more sense of what you actually have capacity for right now.

In holistic counselling, this is called “worry time”.

It only takes 5 minuets and can hugely help reduce overwhelm.

Re-living stressful or traumatic events is a common occurrence.

I’ve been there.

Our memories may always remain, but our breath can help to release the stress our bodies continue to hold.

The stress is what triggers us back to the past, but our breath brings us back to the present.

It helps us to feel what we’ve pushing away, so that we can rewire our nervous system to feel safe again.

And rewiring the stress that once triggered us.

I love empowering women to heal themselves through breath and back to their intuition.

Letting go of the cycles of stress and endless loops of negative thoughts that keep us stuck.

How often do you let fear hold you back?

People have said to me recently they could never travel with a young child because of everything that could go wrong.

And don’t get me wrong, I had concerns too.

Would she get sick? Would her sleep be ruined? Would she adjust?

Travelling 9 hours on a plane definitely has its challenges.

Lesson learned: never do an overnight flight with a baby 🥲😅

But I refused to let fear stop me from doing something I love, travelling.

Now I get to bring my baby along to experience new cultures, adventures and food. She eats literally everything 😂

It was so different to any trip I’ve done because she comes first in every scenario.
But seeing her happy made it my favourite experience yet.

I spent way too long living in grief, sadness and fear of losing the people I love.

So now I choose to focus on the good, the fun, and the exciting things that could happen.

And that’s exactly what I help women do too.
Release stress held in the body, calm the mind, and create a life that feels aligned through breathwork and holistic coaching.
