When she’s not greeting you with that megawatt smile, she’s busy smashing her Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) and plotting her path to become a Dermal Clinician (and future Cosmetic Nurse, no biggie 💅).

At just 18 years old, Monique is making history as one of the youngest starters in the WNBL — representing far more than the UC Capitals uniform every time she steps on the court. A proud Aboriginal, Torres Strait and South Sea Islander woman, Monique embodies strength, heritage, and inspiration.

Her incredible rise, from leading the Mackay Meteorettes to a Silver Medal, to representing Australia at the FIBA U16 Asia Championships and U17 Women’s World Cup, earned her the title of 2023 Female Athlete of the Year. 🌟
