Can You Spare Some Time to Help Someone Sleep Safe?
ACTWELL is proud to partner with the The Terry Campese Foundation and its NightPodz program, both doing incredible work to support those in need across our community.
ACTWELL offers free First Aid training to NightPodz volunteers as our way of giving back to those who give so much.
This is a wonderful opportunity to support the people who help provide a safe place to sleep for those who need it, something everyone deserves.
👉 Check out their post below to learn how you can get involved
💛 Can You Spare a Few Hours each month to Help Someone Sleep Safe? 💛
Queanbeyan Night Podz runs 7 nights a week, giving people a safe place to sleep when they have nowhere else to go. We've provided 219 nights in a row of safe sleeps since March 2025.
To keep the doors open, we need around 150 volunteer shifts a month — could you help?
🕗 Service Crew: 8–10pm (2 hrs)
☀️ Housekeeping: 8–9am (1 hr) or later if preferred
🌙 Caretaker: Overnight (10–12 hrs, private cabin)
Training’s done on the job (2–3 shifts).
A WWCC is needed within 2 months, and regular volunteers get free First Aid training through ACTWELL.
Plus, every shift you do each month puts you in the running our volunteers' prize draw 🏆
Even one shift a month makes a huge difference — or your workplace could take on a regular night or morning!

We loved having HOME in Queanbeyan volunteers join us for their First Aid Training
Such an amazing organisation with incredible people!
Thank you for the kind words, we’re so glad your volunteers enjoyed the training and found it valuable not just for their roles at HOME but in their everyday life too!
HOME would like to thank Actwell First Aid Training for generously offering some of our valued volunteers to do their First Aid Training for free!
The volunteers commented on what an excellent trainer they had and how much they learnt. This qualification is beneficial to our volunteers not just for their role at HOME but also in their personal life.
Thank you Sinead and the team at ACTWELL.

ACTWell - The only choice for quality training in Canberra
ACTWell First Aid & Training is leading the way in Canberra for quality First Aid, Fire and Emergency training.
Our courses are reasonably priced, and cannot be beaten for quality. We guarantee it.
All staff at ACTWell are experts in their field, not just trainers. Experienced Paramedics, Firefighters, Military Combat Medics, even CareFlight Aero Rescue team members... that’s who you will be getting trained by at ACTWell.
A company founded by a Firefighter and former school teacher, who’s goal is to directly or indirectly save 100 lives in the ACT. Our aim is to increase public understanding of the need for EARLY CPR, to help First Aiders understand their role and how critical it is for them to start CPR before emergency services arrive, and most importantly, to build confidence and remove the common fears and misconceptions that First Aiders face.
The quality lies in the experience of all of our trainers. No matter what course you undertake with ACTWell, you can be assured the trainer has had plenty of direct experience. Imagine being trained in emergency evacuation procedures by the people who will be attending your workplace in an emergency and helping you get out. Firefighters teaching you how to safely use extinguishers. A combat medic teaching you about controlling a critical bleed. A paramedic teaching you about quality CPR.
Our courses are certain to simplify First Aid for you, and to leave you with a sense of understanding and confidence to manage a range of emergency situations.
