✨MEET OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBER — JESSICA! ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Jessica, an experienced Occupational Therapist passionate about providing trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming care that centres the voices of children and their families. 💛

Jess brings warmth, compassion and a playful curiosity to her work, supporting kids from toddlers to teens through an approach that understands the whole ecosystem of the child — collaborating closely with families, carers and educators to co-design meaningful, individualised supports. 🌱

With 18 years of experience across Not-for-Profit and Government sectors, Jess’s work has always focused on empowering children, young people and their families.
She’s also a big believer in the power of animal-assisted therapy, and we’re thrilled to welcome her four-legged teammate, Alphonse 🐾 — a high-energy, loveable labradoodle whose joy and enthusiasm bring an extra sparkle to sessions! :sparkles:
When she’s not diving into research, Jess loves long dog adventures, video games and chatting all things anime with young people who share her interests. 🐶🎮

At our clinic, our four-legged friends do more than wag tails — they help little voices grow. 🗣️💙
Through Animal Assisted Therapy, therapy dogs support children in building confidence, reducing anxiety, and making communication feel safe and fun.

Because sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs start with a paw, a cuddle, and a whole lot of love. 🐶💛

✨ Deep Pressure Therapy with Animals ✨

Deep Pressure Therapy is a calming technique that uses gentle, consistent pressure on the body — similar to the feeling of a weighted blanket. When provided through Animal Assisted Therapy, this often looks like a therapy dog resting across a child’s lap, leaning against them, or cuddling close. 🐶💛

🌿 Why it helps:
💙Activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the body’s “calm” response)
💙Reduces anxiety and stress hormones
💙Improves focus and attention in therapy sessions
💙Provides comfort, grounding, and emotional regulation

Animals make this experience not only therapeutic, but also safe, warm, and enjoyable. Children often engage more willingly when their therapy involves a furry friend. 🐾💛

✨ It’s time for our junior heroes to save the day! ✨

💛 🐶 With therapy dogs, guinea pigs and horses by their side, children will create their superhero identities, complete missions and take part in real-life hero training – including cape-making, an energy-boosting ⚡snack station, and a superhero obstacle course! 🐶 💛

📆 Dates: Wednesday 1st, Thursday 2nd, & Friday 3rd of October 2025
⏰Time: 10:00AM - 11:30AM (90 minutes each day)
📍Location: Parkview Equestrian Centre, Wonga Park

Christmas in July never looked so good! 🎄✨We swapped therapy rooms for twinkly lights and the feed me option at — and wow, it did not disappoint! 🍝🍕💫 So lucky to work with the most incredible team who bring joy, heart and a whole lot of laughs to everything we do.
