I remember when friends would send this message to me on the 8th of June. Yes today is Karen Day. Unfortunately my name has become an insult and not celebrated anymore. I can’t explain how upsetting it is to have your name used an insult. I hope I have friends who do not perpetuate it but unfortunately I have seen friends use it in posts and comments. Using my name in this way is misogynistic, sexist and offensive. Yeah, yeah I know there is Nigel No-Friends, Debbie Downer and Lazy Susan but never has a name been used on its own as an insult. Not once has a woman named Karen actually been the one to act offensively but for some reason our name is used to label them. Just stop it and grow up.

T-Rex is gone 🥺 He went for his long sleep last night 😢

He was ten and a half years old and after a few issues with E. Cuniculi recently, he deteriorated very quickly last week. The vets found he had advanced arthritis, kidney disease and pleural effusion. He was on a number of medicines and daily injections. I had to hand feed him and after he ate last night he went into his Maze Haven and fell asleep.

Ten years ago I was working as a flight attendant for Virgin Australia and on my day off I went to Dee Why Vet to pick up a black bunny to take to Porsche’s Rescue. A year later I adopted a black bunny from Porsche not realising he was the same bunny I had picked a year earlier. It clicked later that he was T-Rex ❤️

We will all miss him….especially his girlfriends Molly and Smudge 💔

Last weekend was the end of the Lunar New Year Festival so we explored Sydney, finding all the rabbits we could! There were heaps! 😄🐇🎊

The pancreas relies on the acidity of foods coming from the stomach to trigger the release of digestive enzymes. However, many people have overly low stomach acid.⁠

As a result, the pancreas is not sufficiently activated to release enzymes. The result is poor food digestion, which causes inflammation and damage throughout the digestive tract. ⁠

What are the symptoms of low pancreatic enzymes? ⁠

Difficulty digesting fibers and starches such as vegetables, fruits, beans, rice. Bloating within the first one to two hours after eating them. Possible pain and tenderness in the left side of your rib cage. ⁠

Found myself on the hallowed ground that once was the Marrickville RSL Club. Spent many Saturday nights here as a showgirl. Tonight in the exact same spot is Okami, an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant and it was AMAZING! 🍣🥢
