We have been chatting ALL things our favourite resources this week!

Here’s some of our current LOVES in our Therapy Bags at OT Inspire ✨✨✨

I love using books as a part of sessions, and find you can be SO creative with interventions and activities following these. It’s also such a beautiful way to communicate and make it FUN! Also finding some of our favourite books on audible too. A beautiful way to unwind together as a family ✨🫶

Also LOVING all the new offers from
Some beautiful resources coming out from - Gratitude Letters- I CAN’T

What’s your favourite resources at the moment?

Could not be prouder of our inspiring Occupational Therapy CDU Masters Project Placement Students - Katrina and Rachel presenting at the OT Exchange conference in Perth this week 💖

Rachel and Katrina presented on the OT Inspire Waitlist Intake Clinic they created and operated alongside the OT Inspire team during their placement in Mparntwe / Alice Springs last year. 💛🧡♥️

It is always such an honour to be invited to present at an OTA conference- and to be invited before you have even graduated is such an achievement that you should both be incredibly proud of (we are definitely very proud of you both!)🥹

We heard that there were SO many submissions this year- and you provided such an incredible presentation on Friday.

Rachel and Katrina highlighted how isolating it can be on a waitlist for families- and the importance of human connection and support during this process. The also discussed the benefits of offering a Waitlist Intake Clinic- such as service optimisation, bridging the gap between referral & service and providing updated support and information.

Katrina and Rachel presented and offered strategies on how they showed up as proactive, compassionate, motivated and creative students in the OT Inspire Clinic to help reduce some of the stress demands for families who were waiting AND for therapists who would be delivering services.

While also highlighting the importance of human connection while ensuring families felt seen and heard.

Heart was bursting with emotion at this one! 💖🥹

I am so excited for you both to start practicing as occupational therapists in this space.

We know that you are both going to do some deeply amazing work as OT’s and make long lasting impacts to the space.

We can’t wait to see the next chapter ✨✨🥹

CELEBRATING YOU BOTH SO MUCH RIGHT NOW! 💖

FIVE of our biggest takeaways from working as a remote therapist in the Northern Territory as occupational therapists 🧡

- Remember that you are a visitor on Country. Know the Country and people you are visiting. Communicate with Traditional Owners / Land Council and other important community members before you go- and ensure you are not impacting any cultural events or commitments. Learn some basic words in language and know which areas are out of bounds for travel. Listen and learn. Remember it is a privilege to experience Country and First Nations culture. Be respectful, mindful and grateful.

- Create some healthy habits before you travel. When you are travelling a lot for work- healthy habits are a MUST! They can help us to keep our routine in different environments to still work at our best. Things like an exercise routine, sleep hygiene and meditation routines are our MUSTS when we go remote.

- Be prepared and be SAFE. Travel together, check in with your team and make sure you always have the necessities like water, first aid kits, a sat phone and car equipment. Share your itinerary and always make sure you check in with someone back at the office and at home. And LOTS of WATER!

- The days can be LONG. Preparation is key. Sometimes it can be easy to miss a meal or have a can of soft drink instead of water while on the move. But you NEED your energy and hydration on these days more than anything. Look after your body and yourself- stay hydrated and eat well- even if that means a little more prep before you head off!

- If you love what you do- it will show. This job can be HARD. It can be long days, complex care and tough emotionally for therapists. But it can also be the best job in the world. You get to determine your WHY. You get to decide what you takeaway from this role. And if you’re open to it - you will learn more than you ever imagined. 💛

Have you got any tips or learnings from remote health? We’d LOVE to hear them below! It’s honestly he best job in the world. I mean just look at the journey 💛❤️🧡 pictures by our FAVE .photography

Feeling so incredibly grateful to share this one❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🙊

OT Inspire Australia has not one BUT TWO presentations at this years OTA Exchange. ✨✨
We are feeling ALL the big feels sitting in this one 💖

🩵 Mia will be presenting on Building Connection in Northern Territory Remote Indigenous Communities

🩵 Our INCREDIBLE students Katrina and Rachel will be presenting on our OT Inspire Australia Student Waitlist Clinic: A proactive, connection-based approach for extensive wait times to access therapy service in remote locations.

We are so incredible excited for this one! It is such a privilege to be representing remote NT and to be presenting something so close to our hearts. It’s no secret we love remote health- and we can’t wait to share our learnings- as there have been SO many!

We are also SO excited to present in Perth (Which is very special to Mia- as she completed her OT studies here ✨)
