Coldstream Primary School OSHC and Early Years We are still part of Coldstream Primary School we wanted to make a page for the OSHC and Early Years. Children's hearts and minds should be full of hope.

Service Philosophy
 We believe it takes a village to raise a child, a range of physical, mental, practical, advisory and
encouraging support from a variety of mediums and people.
 We believe children need exposure to positive aspects of childhood where they can be
children and not hold the weight of the world on their shoulders. Children should live
between the world of reality and magic, dream the impossible, and have laughter and joy. They should see hope and feel hope at all
times. Children should be free to be who they are and be supported to be the best version of
themselves.
 Children should live in a world with healthy rules and high expectations that are shown/role
modelled for them, have time and space to ask questions, make errors, reflect and try again.
 We believe healing and integration between people CAN happen, and oppression can be lifted
no matter how small or how big.
 We believe in a group that strives to support each other to be the best versions of
themselves. A community where all can co-exist with one another with peace and respect,
and a world that will build each other up.
 We believe one and the many can make this difference and it starts now. In order to do this, there are things we have put in place to help support this ongoing work, and
it's important that you are fully informed in order to make the right decisions for you and your
family as to whether this service is the right fit for you. Mission Statement
 To provide the community with a service where children can be educated and cared for while
families continue other aspects of their lives
 For children to have a place they can call their home away from home and feel safe and
secure
 For children to have a network of other children and educators they can be a part of
 For children to be involved in something bigger than themselves that they can contribute to
and make a change within
 To provide a space for learning and discovery that is tailor made to the child
 For children to have authentic, trusting and respectful relationships with the educators

📚✨ Welcome Back to Term 4! ✨📚

We’re so excited to have our Coldstream Primary School students and families back for the final term of 2025! 💙💛

Term 4 is always an exciting time of transition — our Grade Sixes will be preparing for a brand new world full of opportunities ahead, while our 2026 Preps begin their journey with fun and engaging transition activities. 🌟

On top of that, we’ve got a HUGE term planned with 3-6 Camp, the Grade 1/2 Halloween Party, the Colour Run, Christmas Carols, class parties and our Grade Six Graduation! 🎉

We are delighted to share that Adore & Keep Photography will be capturing photos of our little learners this year! Kathryn and Ange are a twin-sister photography duo who are passionate about creating authentic, timeless visual stories. Some of you may know Kathryn as one of our wonderful teachers here at Coldstream Primary.

Please find attached the advertisement and price list for their digital packages. Families can use the link below to book their preferred day—Monday the 15th or Wednesday the 17th—and select the package that best suits them. The booking website also includes further details for your reference.

📚 Book Week Dress-Up Parade – Tomorrow! 📚

A friendly reminder to all families that tomorrow is our Book Character Dress-Up Day as part of our Book Week celebrations! Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book character – think classic heroes, mischievous villains or magical creatures!

We’re excited to have the entire Coldstream Primary School community taking part, including our friends from OSHC + Early Years, who will be joining in the fun.

🎉 The Book Character Parade will be held at 9am during our morning assembly, giving everyone a chance to show off their creative costumes and share their love of reading.

We can't wait to see the amazing characters walk through our doors tomorrow!

Little Hands, Big Hearts: Mini Buddies in Action

At Coldstream Primary, our Year 5/6 students have become true champs for our youngest learners in the OSHC & Early Years program. They’re guiding, giggling and growing—helping the kinder children settle into school life with ease and joy.

From sharing games to comforting hugs, the Mini Buddies initiative is all about making the leap from kinder to school a little bit smoother—and a lot more fun!

A huge thank you to our compassionate Grade 5/6s and dedicated educators, for making this heartfelt connection possible. You’re building kindness, confidence—and making Coldstream feel like home. 🤗💖
