So proud of Ben on Sunday at the Crookwell Dog Club Scent Trial Ben got a pass in Novice Containers under Judge Donna Puttock and gained his Scentwork Novice Title. 🏆

Hi The Crookwell Dog Club are after volunteers to help us with our Scent Trial on Sunday 7/9/2025.

The role is not hard and you can volunteer for All Day and we will also feed you or just for an AM or PM role.

Marshalling Stewards: All that is required is to stop competitors away from the search area until called by the Judge.

Timekeepers: To use a stopwatch to record when they cross the start line until they call alert and stop the stopwatch.

Search area stewards: To work the door or start of search and cross off their number when entering the area.

It is a great way to learn about Scent Work Trialling. If this is you please drop me a message with your availability.

🚨 Leptospirosis Alert – July 2025 🚨
Four confirmed cases of canine leptospirosis have recently been reported across NSW — including Newcastle, Shoalhaven, Port Stephens, and the Southern Highlands.

Sadly, all four dogs passed away, and none were known to be vaccinated.

🦠 Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial disease spread by rats and contaminated water. It can cause liver and kidney failure — and can be fatal.

🦠 How can you reduce the risk?

Avoid letting your dog drink or swim in stagnant water

Keep your yard and surroundings free of rodents

Speak to your vet about vaccination, especially if you're in Inner Sydney, the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, or regional areas with recent outbreaks

🐶 Signs to watch out for:

Lethargy

Vomiting or diarrhoea

Yellow gums or skin
