-More flexibility, flight, and accommodation options

Am I eligible for subsidised accommodation?
Generally, Yes - after 2 nights if you have to be away. (conditions apply)

How much am I eligible for?
Accommodation subsidy rates
* Accommodation subsidy (Tasmania) - up to $77.60 per approved person, per night
* Accommodation subsidy (interstate) - up to $100 per approved person, per night

THANK YOU Ochre Medical Centre King Island!!!! 🙏🙏🙏

I wanted to share the results of our recent Bone Bus visit to King Island. Despite a delayed start and a few unavoidable scheduling challenges, we were still able to complete scans for 151 community members.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this possible:

Sharp Airlines for generously donating return flights.

King Island Hospital for providing accommodation.

Tasports / Bass Island Line for donating freight to King Island and getting the bus here is one piece.

Phoenix House for the use of their car park and for the thoughtful patient gifts.

Eastern Line Shipping for transporting the Bone Bus back to Stanley.

Of course, all the patients who attended—that’s 151 people who didn’t need to use PTAS to travel off-island for this important screening.

Bone Bus for coming to the island after a rough start and finish, we really do hope to see them return in a couple of years.

Lastly, everyone that put up with Tiff pulling her hair out and multiple near meltdowns on more then one occasion from all the little roadblocks along the way.

Your support made a significant difference to our community, and we are incredibly grateful.

*patients will be contacted over the next couple weeks for results.*
