Power and Water may shut off during the cyclone. NT Emergency Services suggest to have enough non-perishable food, water (10L/person), clothes and medications for a minimum of 3 days.

Make sure you have:
💊 Up-to-date prescriptions and at least 7 days' worth of essential medications on hand.
🩹 First-aid supplies, face masks and hand sanitiser, Aquatabs, Insect repellent
🔋 Charged medical devices and spare batteries in case of power loss
🍼 Infant supplies, toiletries and sanitary products
❄️ A backup plan for storing refrigerated medications (like cold bags)
📃 Important documents such as prescriptions, Medicare card and health care contacts
Severe weather can hit hard, but you can be prepared.

Stepping outside our comfort zone is how we learn. Today, many pharmacists embraced the challenge of expanding our scope—learning aseptic wound management and closure techniques, always keeping infection prevention our top priority.

Residential #2 is underway!
Our NT Scope of Practice students have gathered at CDU for their second residential, kicking things off with a live motivational interview between teaching staff from James Cook University. Great to see curiosity, questions, and engagement from the group as they dive into the next phase of their training.

Our Pharmacists at Darwin Plaza and Bakewell. Claire and Claribel, Melanie and Philippa, will be away from Monday 20th to Friday 24th of October. They’ll be attending their last residential training with James Cook University (JCU) as part of their Full Scope Pharmacist Prescribing Graduate Certificate.
