There’s something special about taking the time to properly frame and mount a piece that carries meaning.
This Om Mandala was painted by a master artist from the Thangka painting school in Boudhanath, Kathmandu, which I visited a few weeks ago whilst motorbiking through the Himalayas.
The level of detail is incredible — every line intentional, every layer built with patience and discipline that you can feel when you sit with it.
Om is often described as the sound of the universe…but for me, it’s also a reminder to come back to breath, to presence, and to a quieter, more compassionate way of being.
There’s something about the symmetry and precision of a mandala that does the same thing ….it draws you inward, settles the noise, and creates space.
This one really resonated with me when I saw it, and now having it framed and mounted properly feels like giving it the respect it deserves… and a precious jeep sake from my 3rd trip to the incredible Nepal.
