Mr Da’s story:
Mr Da loves gardening 💙 . When his health changed and he became disabled, many of the simple joys he loved—especially gardening—felt out of reach.
When Mr Da first received NDIS funding and joined THT Vitality, he shared his dream of returning to his garden. At the time, he couldn’t access the backyard with his old wheelchair
and became easily tired sitting on it. With gentle encouragement, motivation, and doing things together with his support workers, small steps began to grow into big changes.
Today, Mr Da is back in his garden—planting, feeding his koi fish, laughing, and proudly sharing fresh herbs with support workers. With his new wheelchair, he can now move in and out of the garden independently with little help from support workers, something he is incredibly proud of.
Every seed planted is a step toward independence. Seeing Mr Da’s smile as he introduces his garden reminds us why care truly matters.
