This year has begun with a slow, nurturing pause for me, with no pressure to do or be anything other than present. Instead of jumping into action, I’ve been reading, resting, socialising, and spending a lot of time going within. It’s been perfect.

And today, I held my first two sessions of the year, one New Year reading and one deep healing, and I felt so profoundly grateful to witness clarity, release, and transformation unfolding in such different but equally powerful ways.

The theme that’s already emerging for this year feels deeply connected to the power of water. Learning how to flow with the currents rather than against them. Allowing our energy, focus, and rhythm to ebb and flow like the tides. And most of all, trusting the immense and formidable power of water as a force for change, cleansing, and the forging of new paths.

I was reminded recently of something Bruce Lee once said: “Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless, like water… Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” It speaks to our own innate capacity for adaptability and resilience, if we choose it.

It also brought to mind one of my favourite quotes from The Power of One: "A waterfall begins with only one drop of water, look what comes from that." A beautiful reminder that one small intention, one step, one shift, can create unimaginable change.

This may seem at odds with the astrological energy of this year, the Fire Horse, but fire and water actually work beautifully together when used with intention. It’s also fascinating that the horse is closely linked with Poseidon, god of the sea, with horses often depicted galloping through wild ocean swells.

So as we move into this year, I’m choosing gentleness alongside power, and remembering that while the calendar says 2026, the Lunar New Year doesn’t begin until mid February. There is still time to shed, heal, and integrate the lessons of the snake before fully stepping forward.

✨Love and Healing for the Festive Season & New Year, from Stardust Garden Creative ✨

I’ve been a little quiet here lately, as I’ve needed to continue prioritising my own healing and integration. And honestly, it’s also because this year has been a heavy one, not just for me, but for so many of us.

This year has asked a lot. It’s been challenging, confronting, and at times deeply uncomfortable. Many of us have moved through tremendous loss, uncertainty, grief, and profound change. At times, it’s felt like we’ve lived several years within this one, especially during those first three months of January alone! 😂

And yet, even in the midst of all the chaos, shedding, and transformation, there have been glimmers.
❤️Moments of clarity.
❤️Little miracles.
❤️Unexpected strength.
❤️Love that met us exactly where we were and helped us grow.
Even though some may have been brief, these moments were meaningful, and magic.

So as we near the end of this monster of a year, I want to remind you that while we can’t always choose what happens in our world, we do get to choose how we respond to it. How we soften instead of harden. How we stay open, present, and alive. I believe that living fully, loving deeply, choosing kindness, and staying present is one of the most powerful ways we honour those we’ve lost and those who continue to struggle.

The fact that you are here is a miracle. Cherish your breath, your body, and your free will, and let presence be your gift this festive season.

As you reflect on the year that’s been, please be gentle with yourself. Mistakes are not failures, they’re opportunities to learn and grow. They shine a light on the parts of us that need extra love, compassion, and awareness, and they teach us how to do better when we’re ready to listen. So, no regrets. You chose each moment with the awareness you had at the time.

This year of the snake has stripped away much of what was never meant to stay, revealed truths we could no longer avoid, and invited healing on a far deeper level that we could have imagined.

So ask yourself: Am I the same person I was at the beginning of this year?
Chances are, you’re not. And chances are, that’s a really good thing.

Review the changes with grace and compassion. You did the best you knew how, and know you’re far more prepared now for whatever the new year brings.

I’m so proud of you, for surviving and growing, for feeling deeply, and for staying present. I truly hope you’re proud of yourself too.

May this festive season and new year bring you softness and healing where you need it, courage where it’s called for, and a deep, radical awareness of the love that surrounds you, and lives within you always.

🌿 Vicarious Trauma: The Hidden Burden of Empathy 🌿

If you're a healer, therapist, social worker, psychologist, first responder, or someone who supports others through grief, trauma, or crisis, this message is for you.

Vicarious Trauma, or Secondary Traumatic Stress, is the emotional residue we absorb through witnessing or hearing the trauma of others.

⛓It’s the heaviness that lingers after a session.
⛓The vivid imagery you didn’t ask for.
⛓The dreams.
⛓The fatigue.
⛓The ache in your nervous system, even if the story wasn’t yours.

This past week, old memories surfaced in my field.

Not my own trauma, but the stories others had shared with me years ago…

Stories I thought I’d released, but that had quietly embedded in my subconscious:

🖤 Survivors of horrific abuse
🖤People attacked in public, or near death in violent accidents
🖤Clients who’d lived through the unthinkable, and trusted me with their truth

Even now, the imagery is still vivid. And it reminded me:

This is the invisible cost of care work.
It doesn't mean we're broken.
It means we're human.

💔 Perhaps you've felt this too.
💔 Perhaps your body still holds echoes of someone else's pain.
💔 Perhaps you didn’t realise the toll it was taking until now...

Vicarious trauma is real, and you deserve care, too.
You are not weak. You are not alone.
And there is no shame in needing support.

✨ You don’t need to be in crisis to receive healing. ✨

Sometimes, we come to healing simply to open to more joy, more light, and more love.

Today, I had the immense honour of holding space for a truly magical session. The beautiful soul who came to see me had travelled across the country simply to experience ThetaHealing in person. When I asked what she wanted to work on, she smiled and said, “Nothing really, I’m just open to receiving whatever I’m meant to.” Her heart was full, her life felt good… and still, she said yes to more. 💫

What unfolded was deeply beautiful.

Together, we gently released the lingering imprints of grief, old emotional memories from medical interventions, and subtle trauma stored long after her body had healed.

And then something sacred was revealed. We were shown a healing around the loss of her divine life partner, a soulmate with whom she had shared not only love, but a shared soul mission and purpose across many lifetimes. He had passed on, and yet their bond continued filled with devotion, peace, and spiritual connection.

Unlike many karmic love stories I witness, filled with lessons, pain, and growth, this one was purely radiant. A true, divine love that transcends time and space. 💖

She left the session feeling lighter, more joyful, and deeply connected to her path forward. The grief softened. Her gifts became clearer. And she walked away with a renewed sense of certainty, purpose, and peace.

Healing can be a celebration. A sacred remembering. A return to all that you truly are.

Honouring the Healing Path of Motherhood: A Reflection After Mother’s Day

The last month has been deeply devoted to my own self-healing.

I’ve been gently breaking cycles of stress, powerlessness, and circumstantial victimhood. Patterns that were quietly running in the background and asking for my attention. It’s been painful and dark at times. I’ve had little energy to give to the outside world. But now, as I begin to emerge from this cocoon, I feel a renewed sense of clarity, strength, and peace.

And with that, something incredible has shifted in my work.

The sessions I’ve been holding lately have felt more powerful than ever, infused with grace, presence, and transformation. Clients are experiencing swift, deep changes, and I’m reminded once again how interconnected our own healing is with the service we offer to others.

Recently, I had the honour of holding space for a woman as she reclaimed her story of motherhood.

Together, we revisited the birth of her son and brought healing to layers of grief, guilt, and shame surrounding her journey, including her many unsuccessful pregnancies. This was a profound trauma healing. We gently released the need to carry the pain as proof of strength and instead allowed her body and soul to remember the sacredness of her journey, her sensuality, and her innate creative power.

She left feeling light, free, and full of love and optimism. It was breathtaking to witness.

Sometimes, we need a midwife of the soul to help us complete our motherhood journey, to honour all that we’ve walked through, and to finally lay down the pain we no longer need to carry.

The main purpose of sharing this is to confirm that it is possible to look back on the past with compassion, with kindness for ourselves and others. To know we did the best we could with what we knew. To honour the wisdom of the souls who chose us as their mothers, in whatever form or length of time their presence came in.

All is perfect, but we don’t have to keep suffering.

WHY DON'T PEOPLE HEAL?
Because healing is very uncomfortable!
Obstacles to healing are giving up on life in the past, no longer being a victim, and the fear of change.
Focusing our thoughts and energy on our past comes at the expense of our cells and organs, which need energy to function and heal.
Healing requires living in the present and reclaiming the energy trapped in our traumas and wounds. The only reason to nourish and keep the past alive is the bitterness of what happened.
Refusal to forgive a past event or person creates energy leaks. Forgiveness heals leaks. Forgiveness has nothing to do with not holding others accountable for the harm they caused.
When we see a painful event in our lives as a message or challenge rather than a personal betrayal, the life energy associated with that event reflects back into the energy circuits of our physical body.
People don't heal because they haven't freed themselves from the illusion of being a victim. Healing often requires changes in lifestyle, environment, and relationships. In this, change can be frightening!
It's easy to stay in a holding pattern and claim you don't know what to do, although that's rarely the case. When we're in a holding pattern and know exactly what to do, we're afraid to act accordingly.
Change is scary, and waiting conveys a sense of security, while the only way to truly gain that sense of security is to step into the whirlwind of change and feel alive again.
Healing requires action: eating right, daily exercise, thinking differently... ensuring healthy changes in the body's structure. Letting go of the past, giving up stressful jobs or inappropriate relationships are actions that release energy from the body.
What improves one, improves the other; physical strength and energy are closely linked.

The Medicine of the Mosquito: A Wake-Up Call from Within

I’ve been quiet here lately…

Recently, I’ve been brought to a time of forced rest by a mosquito-borne virus that completely knocked me off my feet. As if that weren’t enough, I also received official notice that my contract is ending in six weeks. The double hit has taken a real toll, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

A couple of nights ago, I found myself in a place I rarely go to, wondering if I’d ever feel “normal” again… if my energy would ever return (silly given there are people in my life suffering much worse conditions). That moment of despair startled me into clarity. I realised how far I’d drifted from my own power. I’m so often holding space for others to remember their healing abilities, I’d forgotten to claim mine.

I’d unknowingly handed over my power to the executives holding the axe and to the virus taking hold of my body.

That night, I dove back in. I did my own healing work. Reclaimed my energy and reconnected to my free will and personal power!

A dear friend gently reminded me that there’s medicine in everything. Even this.

And that sparked a memory, I’d once read about Mosquito as a spiritual messenger. When I looked it up again, I was stunned by the relevance. Mosquito reminds us not to let annoyances and energy drainers rule our lives. It teaches the value of discernment. Of knowing when and how to protect our space, our time, our vitality.

I saw clearly how much I’d been pushing myself to the brink, then wasting precious time in burnout recovery. How I’d let tiny “mosquitoes” in human form distract me, irritate me, and take up far too much of my energy.

This experience has been a radical and timely wake-up call.

And how perfect the timing is! In just three weeks, I'll begin a 3-week Intuitive Anatomy course. What better container for bringing buried dis-ease to the surface and alchemising it into healing, virtues, and wisdom?!

I’m walking into this next chapter feeling equal parts terrified and thrilled, but mostly, I’m ready to meet whatever rises and to reclaim even more of myself and my souls' true gifts.
