At Nalu, we believe in physiology before technique. If your CO_2 tolerance is low, forcing a slow tempo feels like a threat to your brainstem.

If your system isn’t used to that rise, your brain interprets it as “suffocation” rather than “relaxation.”

• Exhale like a soft breeze.
• Let the jaw and tongue drop and hang heavy.
