We had the privilege of hosting Mark Le Messurier with our staff, families and community today at Together We Can International.
And it landed.
Real, honest, deeply insightful conversation about the rapidly changing face of neurodiversity. The kind that shifts thinking and gives people confidence in the way they support and connect with others.
What stood out just as much as the message was Mark himself. His kindness, his passion for this space, and a level of authenticity that is genuinely inspiring. You can feel it, and people understand that authentic support is not about knowing the latest acronyms, it is about truly understanding the people we are supporting and their unique differences, not as deficits, but as strengths.
After the session, so many of our team came up to me saying the same thing. They might not always have the “right” terminology, but they walked away inspired, because everything Mark spoke about is exactly what we are doing every day in our work.
For our team, it was incredibly affirming. A clear reminder that neuroaffirming, person first, strengths based support is not just the right approach, it is essential.
And more importantly, this is not something we are working towards.
It is something we are already delivering. In abundance. Every single day. Creating support that is meaningful, authentic and making an impact.
Thank you Mark for your time, your passion and your impact.
If you missed this session, we have another one scheduled for April at our Southern office. Tickets are currently available through Eventbrite.
