Check on family, friends, and neighbors, particularly older people. ensure pets have access to fresh drinking water and shelter, and if possible, provide water outside for native birds and animals, as heatwaves pose significant danger!

Yesterday, a Muslim man, 43 year old Ahmad Al-Ahmad, showed extraordinary courage by disarming one of the attackers and saving countless lives. His bravery is a powerful reminder of our shared humanity, even in the face of violence and fear.

This is not a time to turn on one another or to make racial or political attacks. Hate and division only deepen the harm caused by tragedies like what happened at Bondi.

Our deepest condolences are with the families and loved ones impacted by this inhumane and horrific tragedy. Our thoughts are with the Jewish community and everyone affected and impacted by this sensless act of terror. We must support each other as our country grieves the loss of life and the loss of peace. The light must overcome the darkness .
