I’m deeply honoured that this past week as I was chosen by the International Yoga Collage as the inspiration with my version of Stargazer pose. They created a poster of Instagram yogis around the world coming together to share one pose.

It came as a surprise because I didn’t ask for it and quite honestly…I didn’t like the photo they chose of me from my IG account as it was just after Christmas and I was obviously bloated…I may have accidentally ingested some gluten.

Anyway, it was part of the process of Ahimsa(non-violence)…being gentle with myself. One of the yoga principles is being authentic…keeping it real. In a world where so much is fake and much of social media being altered, I had made a promise to myself to never alter my face or my body. This is who I am. This is my yoga.
I’ll put up the original (pink pants) and a retake (about 3 weeks after) in comments. Same pose…same weight but no bloating.

My take from all this is how quickly we judge ourselves and how quickly our bodies can make shifts in one way or another. It’s a gift we can extend to others as well. Imperfection is part of our own perfection and learning to embrace it as well as how we treat others is paramount.

Thanks to so many who shared this on IG because it’s helped my business and I’ve had some good offers…one was to be an ambassador for a brand Which is so good I couldn’t decline.

Hello community 🌺

Yoga is up and running each Monday at Old Cheese Factory Collective in beautiful Frederickton ☀️

Starting at 4:30 with a Feel good Flow. Excellent for any experience level.

And at 5:45 is Gentle Restorative Yoga with long holds for deep relaxation 🪷

I’ve been an international senior teacher for 21 years and am passionate about sharing yoga and it’s benefits to everyone no matter if you are an absolute beginner or seasoned yogi

The classes are warm and welcoming to all.
Variations of every pose are available and props are encouraged. Everyone’s body and its needs change from one day to the next so there is never any pressure to perform…only to practice ❤️

I really look forward to sharing our light and our practices 🙏🏼

2 days ago marked the 21st anniversary of the day I became a yoga teacher 🙏 After 6 years of practice and completing 9 months of yoga teacher training I took the plunge and started teaching.
I had no idea it would take me on a fulfilling journey around the world, meeting the most wonderful people along the way.

My heart is full of gratitude for all the teachers I’ve had and will have, as well as all the yogis who invite me on their journey. Always a teacher…always a student. Once the ego is dropped, these 2 are interchangeable. I hope in another 21 years from now I’m still on my yoga journey
