Not because IVF isn’t valid.
Not because it’s not sometimes needed.

But frustratingly for so many women, there is a whole layer of support and investigation that gets skipped.

Your body deserves to be supported properly first.
Your nutrition, your cycle, your hormones, your nervous system, your home environment and your partner’s health too.
It all matters.

Whether it happens through natural conception
or whether you do go down the path of IVF and assisted reproductive technologies.

Because either way your body is still the environment that pregnancy begins in.

If you’ve been trying and you’re feeling unsure what to do next, please know that there are options in between “just keep trying” and jumping straight to IVF.

If you want support with that middle ground and laying solid foundations, I’d love to guide you inside The Preconception Protocol, my new program for conceiving consciously.

Sending love,
Chloe x

Have you ever stopped to think about how many different products you apply to your body in the morning?

And what about the ingredients that are in those products?

Are they really skin care if they’re not caring for your body and hormones?

I talk about this with my clients all the time, how can they reduce their toxin burden and load on their body and detoxification pathways.
As well as the impact certain ingredients can have on their hormones and in turn their fertility and egg and s***m health.

So tell me how many products do you use every day?

And can you start swapping to more body, hormone and environmentally friendly options like

If you’re trying to conceive and want to truly support your fertility… there are a few things I’d lovingly suggest you break up with.

1. Fuelling yourself on caffeine + toast→ your body needs real nourishment, not survival mode fuel
2. Living off adrenaline + constant stress→ your nervous system plays a huge role in hormone health3. Ignoring your symptoms and pushing on→ PMS, spotting, pain, irregular cycles… these are messages, not inconveniences
4. Eating like a rabbit→ low protein, low fat diets don’t support hormone production
5. Your beauty routine (full of synthetic fragrances + chemicals)→ what you put on your body matters too
6. Washing powders + products that make everything “smell good”→ they’re loaded with endocrine disruptors
7. Believing IVF is the immediate next step if it hasn’t happened in 6-12 months→ there is space to support your body first

Preconception care is about creating an environment where your body feels safe, nourished and supported enough to conceive.
Small consistent steps and kayo solid foundations. Here for you when you’re ready to begin. x

When it comes to creating a baby…
two cells contribute 50% each of the DNA.

Frustratingly, the focus of preconception care and the burden of conceiving has fallen entirely on women.

But times thankfully are changing and we know that s***m health matters. A lot.

S***m reflects the previous 2–3 months of a man’s health and lifestyle, including:

• nutrition
• alcohol, va**ng and other drug intake
• stress levels
• sleep
• environmental and toxin exposures

And this directly impacts fertilisation, embryo quality, miscarriage rate and pregnancy outcomes.

Parenting is not a solo journey and neither is preconception care.

When both partners take the time to support their health, you’re not only improving your chances of conception and a healthy pregnancy, you’re supporting the health of your future baby from the very beginning.
As well as being healthier parents!

So if you’re preparing for pregnancy…
this is your reminder:

You’re in this together. X

The final episode of my mini podcast series has just dropped, Episode 5.

This final episode came along as an added extra, an idea that came to me and I had to create.

I couldn’t talk about stress and relaxation, about connecting to and honouring your body in the process of preconception and trying to conceive, without giving you a tool to support you with all of that.

Episode 5 is a beautiful heart felt guided meditation. It invites in slowness and rest. It connects you to your heart and your womb and reminds you that you are love and loved.

Give yourself the time and space to listen to it.
I would love to hear from you when you do. x

Matrescence is the all encompassing transition into becoming a mother.

It is a spiritual, emotional, physical and societal shift and rewiring that starts long before birth and even pregnancy.

It begins in the moments you start thinking about conceiving.
And it continues for as long as you are a parent.

What’s interesting is that we give so much understanding and compassion to teenagers going through adolescence.

We expect the mood changes.
The identity shifts.
The growing pains.

But mothers aren’t often given the same support, patience or understanding for what is actually a profound neurological and identity transformation.

Becoming a mother is not just a physical act of giving birth.

Your brain is being rewired.
Your identity is shifting.
The way you see the world and the way the world sees you begins to change.

And there is so much within that experience that isn’t spoken about.

The grief.
The longing.
The uncertainty.
The questioning.
The emotional weight of trying to conceive.
The feeling of polar emotions constantly.

I couldn’t create a podcast on preconception, on preparing to become a mother, without speaking to this.

Because this is part of the preparation and an important part.

Episode 4 of my Preparing for Pregnancy podcast gently explores this transition, while also touching on the emotional landscape that can come with trying to conceive.

If you’re in this season, I really encourage you to listen.
It may support you in more ways than you expect.

If you are a mother or parent, what was something you weren’t expecting? Or how did you find the transition?

Sending love. x

Episode 4 is one that I felt like I couldn’t leave out of this series.

There is so much emphasis, from me too, on being healthy physically before conceiving and in pregnancy. Because of course we need to be, it impacts so much!

But in this episode I talk about the emotional and spiritual side of becoming a mother. I talk about matrescence and what it actually means, I talk about creating space for this baby to join you in a the physical sense but also emotional sense, I talk about the grief of trying to conceive and how important being solid and connected in your relationship is throughout and in the journey of parenting.

This is a big episode and it might be quite emotive for you as I actually ask you to consider these topics.
I think it’s a disservice to women to not speak about them, so they’re topics I didn’t want to shy away from.

Check your emails if you’ve subscribed and please let me know what hits home or comes up for you from this episode.

If you haven’t subscribed yet and are planning to start a family soon, jump on it via the link in my bio and you can catch up on all the episodes.

Sending love and grateful to be on this journey with you. x

Egg quality is often spoken about as if age is the biggest factor for your fertility. And while age certainly can impact your egg reserves, it’s far from the only thing.
The eggs you ovulate this month have actually been developing in your ovaries for the past 3–4 months. During that time, the environment within your body plays an important role in how those eggs mature.
Things like:
• your nutrient status• the quality of your diet• inflammation levels• blood sugar balance• sleep and stress• toxin exposure• and targeted supplementation when needed
This all influences the environment those eggs develop in.
This is why preconception care is so powerful.Because it allows us the time to replenish our nutrient stores, support metabolic health, reduce inflammation, do further testing if needed and address deficiencies that may be impacting fertility.
And in many cases, the right supplementation under practitioner guidance can help correct nutrient gaps and support the processes involved in egg development and hormone balance.

Part of preconception care as I practice it, is about giving your body the resources it needs to do what it’s designed to do.
In Episode 3 of the Preparing for Pregnancy podcast, I talk more about:
• how egg development actually works• nutrients that support egg health• why iron, blood sugar balance and your diet matter• and how nourishing your body before conception can support fertility and impact the health outcomes of your pregnancy and baby.
If you’re thinking about pregnancy and starting a family, now or in the future, this episode will give you a deeper understanding of how to support your body.

If you aren’t already signed up, jump onto the podcast, it’s free and available through the link in my bio.

Episode 3 of the Preparing for Pregnancy podcast has been released!

This episode dives into what you should be eating to support your fertility as well as the key nutrients for improving egg quality and health.

I also talk about s***m health because they’re contributing 50% of the DNA and so need to be in tip top shape and swimming in the right direction too.

This window of time before conceiving is so crucial for not only our health but also making positive impacts on the health of our future children and grandchildren.

Preconception care matters!

Episode 2 of my private podcast series, Preparing for Pregnancy has been released.

This episode covers the nervous system, stress and how it impacts your fertility and conceiving.

There is a lot to talk about here and it’s an episode and topic I’m very passionate about.
I see it time and again in clinic and in the women I work with, just how much stress and what they’re carrying and coping with impacts their hormones, menstrual cycle and fertility.
And this is across all stages of life!

If you are wanting to start a family soon, if you’ve been trying to conceive and if you’ve been struggling or labelled with unexplained infertility, please tune in.

Sending love to you on this journey and know there is a big community of women on this path with you. x

I want to save you the hassle and heartache that can sometimes come with trying to conceive.

I want you to know that the foundations have been laid first before you start trying and especially if you have to look further.

To know that the soil you’re planting this precious seed into and the soil that part of that seed has come from is as vibrant, nourished and healthy as it possibly can be.

Like growing a flourishing garden, improving your fertility and chances of conceiving takes time. But the effort and care of toiling is well worth it.

Your fertility, as well as the health and quality of your egg and s***m, reflects how you’ve been living for the months and years that come before conception.

Your diet.
Your nutrient status.
Your hormones.
Your toxin load and burden.
Your nervous system.
Your sleep and stress levels.
Your partner’s health too.

All of these things shape the environment that new life begins in.

This is what preconception care is about.

Tending to the soil and laying solid foundations.
So that when the times comes that little seed embryo has the best chance to grow into a thriving pregnancy and a healthy baby.
