Micro habits matter more than most people realise, especially when it comes to your fertility and hormone health.
We are the sum of the things we do consistently… good or bad.

Preconception care isn’t about perfection or fear.

An important part of it though is reducing unnecessary chemical exposure so your hormones can function as they’re meant to.

Many everyday products contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals that can interfere with ovulation, egg quality,, s***m health, menstrual health and reproductive hormones over time.

The good news?
You don’t need to overhaul your life all at once.

Start with simple swaps:
• Ditch anti-perspirants with synthetic fragrance
• Stop microwaving food in plastic
• Choose fragrance free household and personal care products
• Cook with stainless steel, ceramic or cast iron cookware
• Leave your shoes at the door

Our health and our fertility is influenced by what you do daily not occasionally.
These small changes add up.

Save this post for your preconception journey.

Let’s dive back into our menstrual cycle with the Follicular Phase.

When we talk about the follicular phase we’re usually talking about the phase of the menstrual cycle that begins after your period ends. It is often where your energy starts to rise, motivation returns, and many women feel more clear headed and optimistic.

This is because oestrogen gradually increases during the follicular phase, supporting your mood, brain function and overall hormone balance. It is also the phase where your body is preparing for ovulation, which is a key marker of fertility and reproductive health.

If you are learning cycle awareness, this phase can be a beautiful time to build healthy habits, increase movement, focus on nourishing meals, and support blood sugar balance with enough protein and fibre.

Understanding your cycle phases is one of the most empowering things you can do for your hormone health and fertility.

If you would like personalised support with your menstrual cycle, hormones, fertility, nutrition or preparing your body for pregnancy, you can work with me 1:1.

Hello! I’m Chloe, a female health practitioner & fertility nutritionist and these are a few things I will always get on my soap bucket for…

• Your menstrual cycle is a vital sign, what is it trying to tell you. Pain, heavy bleeding or missing cycles are not “normal” just because they’re common.

• You don’t need to punish your body to be healthy. Restriction, exercising excessively and overdoing it wrecks your hormones.

• Stress management is not a luxury. It directly impacts ovulation, digestion, sleep and your hormones. We’re all stressed and we all need to support our bodies and nervous system more.

• You cannot out supplement poor sleep, under eating or a nervous system stuck in fight or flight.

• Preconception care matters, even if you’re “not really trying yet” but especially if you want to be trying soon.

• Fertility is not just about getting pregnant. It’s about your long term health. We want to be strong thriving old ladies too remember.

• Your body is not broken. It’s responding intelligently to the environment you’re living in and how you’re treating it.

• Small, consistent changes beat big overhauls every single time. Stay the path.

• Women deserve better care, better education and to be believed when something feels off.

I will forever choose gentle, evidence based, whole body support over quick fixes and fear based advice.

If this resonates, stay here and follow along
And if you want support, I’ve got you.

Big love,
Chloe x

Phase One - Menstruation
The menstrual phase is not a time to push through.

It is a vital part of the menstrual cycle where hormones are at their lowest and the body is doing real physiological work as the uterine lining is released.

If you’re feeling more tired, inward or in need of extra rest during your period it is normal.

Supporting yourself during this phase with warmth, nourishing meals, gentle movement and a slower pace can reduce period symptoms and support your nervous system as well as long term hormone and fertility health.

When we honour the menstrual phase, rather than fight it, we are building a healthier relationship with our bodies and creating more ease across the whole cycle.

It’s nearly the end of January, have your New Year’s resolutions already fallen apart?

You’re not failing, the approach was just too big and not realistic or sustainable.

Massive overhauls and trying to change everything at once rarely lasts.
But micro-habits?
Tiny 1% shifts?
They compound over time and create real, sustainable change.

So instead of asking yourself what you should change this year…
ask: What can I do in the next hour or today to really support myself? To feed myself well, to nourish my hormones, support my nervous system and lower my stress?

A glass of water when you wake up.
A short walk or stretching.
More greens on your plate.
An earlier bedtime.

Small steps.
Big impact.

✨ If you’d like support creating realistic habits that fit your life, I have availability for new 1:1 clients online and in clinic. I’d love to support you.

Big love,
Chloe x

Your menstrual cycle is not random. It is a monthly rhythm guided by changing hormones that influence your energy, mood, focus and physical needs.

There are four phases of the menstrual cycle. Menstrual, follicular, ovulatory and luteal.
Each phase has a unique hormonal pattern that impacts how you feel and function day to day.
When we understand this rhythm, we can support our energy, moods, hormone, fertility and overall health more effectively and have some compassion for ourselves when we’re not feeling it.

Cycle awareness is about living with and supporting your body in each phase and season you are in. It is about understanding your body, responding with kindness and working with your natural physiology rather than against it.

🤰🏼Part Two 🧘🏽‍♀️

Have you got an exercise ball at home and not sure what to do with it other than sit on it and bounce?
Then this series is for you Mumma!

This gentle series is perfect for your growing and changing pregnant body.

Go gently with it, doing 3 to 8 repetitions of each movement. Remembering to slow down, listen to your body and give yourself the time and space to connect to your body, breath and baby.

I filmed it after teaching a prenatal yoga class using the balls for my Mummas at and they all loved having other ways to use the yoga ball.

Let me know how you go with it and how it feels. x
