Starting 2026 strong at Physio Plus 💪

Our first Lunch & Learn of the year saw the team fine-tuning lower limb fibreglass casting skills — because when it comes to orthopaedic physiotherapy, this is very much our bread and butter (the lunch was just a bonus 😄).

🎓✨ Student Placement Shoutout! ✨🎓

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Jianqi and Jaewon, physiotherapy students from the University of Queensland, during their recent placement with Physio Plus Mackay.

Throughout their time with us, they demonstrated outstanding skills, curiosity, and enthusiasm across both inpatient care at the Mater Hospital and outpatient settings. From pre and post operative rehabilitation to chronic conditions and WorkCover cases and many more they embraced every learning opportunity and made a genuine impact with our patients.

A huge thank you to our incredible mentors Ashleigh, Aimee, Aiden, Tom, Nicolas & Ben for guiding and supporting our students throughout their placement. Special mention to our Senior Physiotherapist Ashleigh for organising the student roster and overseeing the onboarding process 👏

It was a pleasure having you both on the team, Jianqi and Jaewon and we can’t wait to see the amazing things you achieve as future physiotherapists.
