Last clinical placement done — and what a treat! 🎉
Not gonna lie, being in a full-time placement and having to put everything else in life on pause is pretty brutal. But I was lucky enough to be placed in a supportive environment with a fantastic team.
Over the past month, I’ve had the privilege of leading Exercise Physiology sessions at MOVE, connecting with clients, and witnessing — once again — the power of exercise as medicine.
One of the biggest things this placement brought into focus wasn’t something new I learned from a textbook, but something I’ve always valued: *the ability to connect and adapt to how each client communicates.* Some clients were non-verbal, some used sign language, some responded best to encouragement, and others simply needed space to be heard. ✨
Yes, solid clinical knowledge is non-negotiable — but so is how you show up: being present, listening, and *meeting people where they’re at.*
I already feel lucky to help people build strength and confidence in their bodies through Clinical Pilates and Exercise Science — but it’s even more humbling now that I have extra tools to support those living with chronic and complex conditions, and to help them improve their quality of life through exercise.
Thank you to the MOVE team for the guidance, the laughs, and for creating such a welcoming space 💙
