1. Holiday Decorating Safety: Make sure decorations don’t become a tripping hazard as fallen ornaments or festive lighting cords can lead to a loss of balance.

2. Manage Holiday Stress: The holiday season can be a busy time so pace yourself and don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed or delegate tasks to ease your load!

3. Healthy Holiday Eating: It may be tempting to indulge however it’s important to maintain a balanced diet and stay well hydrated, especially during warmer weather.

4. Monitor Medications: Make sure you have enough medication to get through the holiday period and remember to stay on track with your usual medication schedule.

We also understand that Christmas isn’t always a joyful time for everyone. For some, whether due to loss, health concerns or loneliness, it can be a difficult season. Our team is here to provide support and ensure you have the care and assistance needed.

As summer approaches, it’s important to prepare for the warmer months ahead.

Here are some key tips to help you get ready:

✅ Prepare Your Home: Ensure that your air conditioning or fans are clean and functioning properly to keep your living space cool. During the hottest parts of the day, close curtains or blinds to help maintain a comfortable temperature.
✅Check Your Health: Schedule regular health check-ups with your doctor, especially if you have chronic conditions. Discuss any medications you take that may increase sensitivity to light or heat.
✅Sun Protection: Safeguard your skin from harmful UV rays by applying sunscreen regularly. Wear lightweight, long-sleeved clothing and wide-brimmed hats for added protection. Whenever possible, try to stay indoors during the hottest part of the day, typically between 11am and 4pm.
✅Stay Active Safely: Engage in gentle exercises suitable for your fitness level, such as water aerobics, tai chi, or stretching. These activities can help keep you active without overdoing it!
