Mental Health First Aid instructor based in Gladstone, Central Queensland and founder of the Health & Wellness Hub Gladstone. Health & Wellness Hub has been developed as a result of working in the Health & Wellness industry through nutrition education and wellbeing programs, partnering with communities, local government, business and industry. As a Nutritionist and a Licensed Standard Mental Health First Aid Instructor, I have adopted a holistic approach to physical and mental health. I am passionate about what I do......improving mental health literacy and empowering participants to be mental health first aid "first responders" for their family members, friends, co-workers and others within their communities. I ensure a safe environment with a positive approach, while delivering insights and invaluable information around mental health issues and how to offer support with advice, and what to do in approaching, assessing and assisting in a mental health crisis. I hope to encourage understanding and acceptance to decrease the stigma of mental health within our community and workforce and promote the benefits for everyone in having Mental Health First Aid training. I am able to deliver the Standard Mental Health First Aid Course in our clinic or onsite where conference facilities are available. This course is awesome.....with so much great information and loads of practical examples to give the participant the skills and confidence to approach a person and ask about mental health issues! Our courses are engaging, skills-based and participants will have plenty of opportunity to gain confidence in use of the skills taught.
