Hey! I’m Suz 👋🏽 There are some new faces here so I thought I’d re-introduce myself!

When starting my fitness journey, i struggled with poor body image, a toxic relationship with food & extreme comparison-itis. I wanted bigger this, samller that, less of XYZ...

I even remember not letting myself go to bed without doing my 12 minute ab routine 🤦‍♀️

I was hungry to learn more about using exercise & nutrition to get where i wanted to be, so I studied Exercise Science at Uni!

This was one of the best decisions I made because understanding my body & how it worked EMPOWERED me.

Once I learnt that even if i ate the exact same and trained the same as sombody else, i would still look different - i decided to stop training to LOOK a certain way and started training to FEEL STRONG.

However my body looks as a result of me FEELING strong, I would be happy with! ❤️‍🔥

Now I have an intuitive, felxible relationship with food, i move my body to feel good and my mindset is my greatest tool! I have made it my mission to empower others to master their mindset, habits and not let the scales define them! ❤️‍🔥🫶🏽🙌🏼

This incredible woman achieved everything she wanted to and is not stopping anytime soon!

How did she do it?
🔥She INVESTED in herself
🔥She MADE the time, rather than waiting for it to happen
🔥She stuck to the PLAN I gave her
🔥She held herself ACCOUNTABLE
🔥She made a GAMEPLAN when veered off track, rather than guilting herself into quitting
🔥 She asked all of the QUESTIONS
🔥She NEVER. GAVE. UP.

The main reason for this, is that the scales cannot differentiate between fat mass, muscle mass and bone mass ‼️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When we strength training, we gain muscle and increase our bone density - both of which can increase our overall mass.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have seen so many people become frustrated that they are working so hard and the NUMBER on the scale is not changing much or is increasing 📈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Another factor to consider is that your bodyweight can fluctuate between 1-3kilos throughout THE DAY!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Factors like your nutrition, hydration, stress levels, menstrual cycle, immune system and physical activity can effect your body weight in a single 24 hour period. So the measurement you take will not always be an accurate measure of your true mass! 🌸💧

The scales are not always the enemy but be sure to use other progress markers such as:

The point isn’t to be like by others, it’s to be liked by yourself ✨

Not everyone will like you.
Not everyone will agree with you.
You could do everything ‘right’ and someone would still have a problem with it.

But that says more about them then it does about you!

So why spend so much time and effort trying to please others?

DO YOU.
Build your OWN lane 🚘
Make your OWN rules ✅
And be completely unapologetic about every single part of it 👏🏽

Today’s the day we officially farewell our home, our safe place, workplace and family at .

I am so gutted I won’t be there to say goodbye due to some unexpected health concerns. I wish I could’ve run my last class, had my last clients and given everyone one more big hug.

I am so incredibly grateful to this place. It made me feel safe to do new things, push myself and meet new people at a time in life I really needed it.

Thank you team, for taking me and my wild energy on and supporting me .fit

Thank you for providing a space where my clients felt safe to learn and grow. These friendships are bonds I treasure so much and has brought me indescribable joy being by there side in their own journeys.

It is so rare to find a job that you love. A job you’d willingly show up way early too and stay super late after. A job you make friends at. A job that makes you literally jump out of bed. This place was more than I could’ve asked for and I knew it from day 1. Thank you for being my dream 🤍

To maximise training adaptations (muscular gains) you want to be training as CLOSE to failure as you can.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you could have easily done 5 more res, BUMP UP THE WEIGHT!
If you could’ve only pushed out 1-2 more with GOOD FORM, work at this level for a little longer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
WHY NOT UNTIL TOTAL FAILURE ?
There is actually no evidence supporting that training until TOTAL muscular failure has any better muscular outcomes than training CLOSE to failure (swipe for evidence).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ask yourself, ”how many more could I have done?” And be HONEST! You’re only cheating yourself 💪🏼👏🏽

WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENT IF I HAD TO START OVER IN MY FITNESS JOURNEY ⬇️⬇️

Disclaimer: our past makes us who we are and I don’t regret these things, I’m just grateful I’ve learnt since then 🙏🏽

🤍 SCHEDULE your workouts! You won’t just ‘find time’ you need to MAKE time. Schedule like you would any other appointment and show up for yourself!


🤍 Don’t try to ‘make up’for slip ups - move on, learn and dont beat yourself up. Progress isnt linear and you are human.

🤍the scales are not a reliable marker for progress. Small scale victories like increased energy, better sleep, motivation in other areas of your life, confidence and learning are progress.

🤍 focus on how you FEEL more than you focus on how you LOOK. Confidence, strength and beauty comes from within as cheesy as it sounds.

🤍eating after a certain time doesnt put on fat - eat your late night snacks with pride, it brings you joy🤍

🤍 ab exercises wont give you abs

🤍you can train and eat the same as someone else and still look completely different!
