Family time

05/03/2026

I recently took a Tobio travel watercolour set away with me on a little mini break and I loved how simple it was to pack and bring along. šŸŽØ

If you’re like me and struggle to sit still without doing something, having a small creative activity can be the perfect way to slow down without feeling restless.

What I really liked about this set is that the watercolour pad already has the pictures lightly outlined. There’s no pressure to draw anything or ā€œbe good at artā€ — you just start painting.

In reflexology sessions I often notice that many of my clients are very strong in their logical, thinking brain. Work, responsibilities, planning, problem-solving… it’s constant.

But the creative side of the brain often gets neglected, and sometimes it’s craving a little attention.

Creativity doesn’t need to be about producing something amazing or Instagram-perfect.It can simply be about the process — slowing down, focusing on colour, and letting your mind switch gears.

So I’m practising what I often encourage my clients to do…Being creative purely for relaxation, not for the outcome.

The finished painting? Very average šŸ˜…But the process was actually really calming.

And that’s the whole point.

Weekend Reset 🌊✨

I absolutely love providing reflexology treatments — holding space, helping you slow down, watching your whole nervous system soften. It’s honestly such a privilege.

But I’ve learnt something important over the years…
If I want to encourage my clients to rest, I have to model it too.

That’s why I don’t offer treatments every Saturday.
Balance isn’t just something I talk about in the treatment room — it’s something I protect at home. šŸ¤

This weekend we’re on a little staycation in Surfers Paradise.
Rainy. Windy. Not exactly postcard-perfect.

But we’re still walking on the beach between showers, playing cards, eating good food, and just being together. And honestly? That’s enough.

Rest doesn’t have to look glamorous.
Sometimes it’s just choosing family over hustle.
Presence over productivity.

I’ll be back next weekend refreshed and ready to care for you all again.

For now… I’m slowing down.

On the Saturdays I’m not offering reflexology treatments… you’ll usually find me here 🌿

Five years ago I started the Gold Coast Plant Libraries because I’ve always loved gardening — but I hated seeing beautiful plants go to waste.

So many plants need cutting back, get too big, or people just feel like a change. Instead of throwing them away, why not share them?

What started as a simple idea has grown into a beautiful community of locals who swap excess plants, pots and garden bits for free. It reduces landfill, reuses pots and tools, gets kids involved in gardening… and everything you find here grows well because it’s already thriving in our local soil and weather.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought something from a garden centre that looked amazing… and then struggled in my yard. At the plant library, everything is proven to grow right here on the Gold Coast.

There are now 6 plant libraries across the Gold Coast 🌿
If you’d like to find one near you, check out the page: Gold Coast Plant Library for locations.

Here’s a little look at what’s on offer today šŸ’š

Valentine’s Day isn’t about how much you spend.
It’s about how much intention you bring. šŸ¤

Before we were Mum and Dad…
Before school lunches, renovations, business admin and endless to-do lists…
We were husband and wife.

We don’t always do anything big for Valentine’s Day.
No pressure. No grand gestures.

But this year we carved out time — just us — and it felt really good.
To talk without interruption.
To laugh.
To remember who we are outside of parenting.

Love doesn’t need to be loud.
It just needs to be nurtured.

A reminder that investing in your relationship is investing in your whole family. ā¤ļø

Pregnancy changes everything.
And once baby arrives… everything becomes about the baby and that’s ok but if you can take a little out some time for yourself you will feel so much better.

Feeding. Settling. Appointments. Sleep (or lack of it).
And somewhere in there… mum disappears.

Reflexology during pregnancy and postpartum offers a gentle, nurturing way to support you.

✨ May help support milk supply
✨ Ease sciatic pain and lower back tension
✨ Support better sleep
✨ Help balance emotions before and after birth
✨ Encourage the body’s natural process of recovery

After birth, your body is working hard to recalibrate — hormonally, physically and emotionally. Reflexology supports your nervous system so your body can rest and restore.

As a mum of three, I deeply understand this season of life. I welcome mums to bring their babies (up to around 5 months). You can feed, cuddle or hold them during your treatment. This is a space for both of you.

Because when mum is supported… the whole family feels it šŸ¤

The photo shared is from the free birth of my third baby four years ago — in the very room that is now my reflexology space. A room that once held me, and now holds other mothers šŸ¤

Hydrating myself 🌊
Watering the plants 🌿

A little reminder for this hot Gold Coast weather — stay hydrated.
Your body is doing a LOT behind the scenes, especially after a reflexology treatment.

✨ Drinking plenty of water post-treatment helps support circulation and lymphatic flow, assisting your body to gently flush out toxins and rebalance.

And can we talk about plants indoors?
They soften a space, purify the air, calm the nervous system and bring a little slice of nature inside 🌱
Honestly, they make a room feel better.

If you’re a fellow plant lover, I also run a plant swap / plant library from my home on the 3rd day of every month 🪓
Come swap, share cuttings, or just connect with people who love plants as much as I do.

Hydrate. Ground. Grow. šŸ’š

✨ A small change that’s made a big difference for me ✨

I’ve recently started using a wild yam cream with chaste tree berry and sage, recommended by my naturopath — and I’ve genuinely noticed changes.

✨ Better skin
✨ Stronger nails & hair
✨ More balanced periods
✨ More stable mood

I love that it’s a gentle, topical support that works with the body.

Paired with reflexology, which helps calm the nervous system and support circulation and lymphatic flow, it can be a really nurturing way to support hormonal balance and reduce inflammatory stress 🌿

These creams are available off the shelf, but everyone is different — I always recommend checking in with your health practitioner to see what’s right for you.

If hormones, inflammation or feeling ā€œout of syncā€ is something you’re navigating, reflexology can be a beautiful place to start šŸ’›

Last weekend was all about receiving ✨
Filling my cup at Lovefest — music, movement, connection, joy, community. Exactly what my soul needed.

This weekend looks very different… and just as perfect šŸ’—
Being a mum šŸ¤
Making my little girl’s 4th birthday cake with her šŸŽ‚
And a full day doing what I love — reflexology, giving through healing šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

This is my balance.
Receiving so I can give.
Giving so I can receive.

When both are honoured, everything feels aligned 🌿
Grateful for seasons that let me be all of it.

šŸ’« Mother. Healer. Human. šŸ’«

✨ Still going strong with my New Year’s resolution: more play, more fun ✨

Yesterday I said YES to fun on a Sunday and headed to Lovefest here on the Gold Coast 🌿
And honestly… it filled my cup in the best way.

A drug & alcohol-free festival (so refreshing in itself), kids welcome, a beautiful Welcome to Country ceremony, singing, dancing, drums, breathwork, human forest workshops, laughter and connection šŸ’›

Set in the hinterland, surrounded by nature — it was an afternoon of joy, presence and remembering that fun doesn’t have to be wild or messy… it can be grounded, soulful and nourishing.

More of this in 2026 please ✨
More play. More community. More nature.

Have you been prioritising fun lately? šŸŒˆšŸ‘‡
