Kate Rubi performed at GCE in many different genres growing up, including pop, musical theatre and, in later competitions, Original song, leading her to write, record, and release her very own single ‘We Were Never That Close’, with co-writer , with the help of the Solo Artistry Course at music company , released on all platforms in April. Kate Rubi also had her first single featured in May’s issue of ‘Talent on Tap’ and hit over 1000 streams on her song in August. Kate Rubi is currently gigging at many venues, including Miami Marketta and Den Divine, and is currently working to record three new singles, scheduled to release in 2026, as well as running M.I.A’s Social media as a Social media intern.

Where are they now?

Camilla performed in the Gold Coast Eisteddfod when it was the Tropicanival in 1989! Now she teaches private coaching for ballet and contemporary competitions, ballet exams and auditions. Her current student, who also perfomes in the Eisteddfod is currently overseas competing at the Prix de Lausanne and a scholarship at Princess Grace. She is also the Brandpay Community Success partner for Australia!
