I wouldn’t recommend this program if it didn’t completely change my life

20kg of weight I thought I’d never lose…. Gone.

I have worked in the health industry for over a decade, and as a nutritionist for 7 years and counting. I have struggled with post pregnancy weight gain (twice), yo-yo dieting the newest fads, exercise addiction and calorie restriction. I have also embraced various methods of healthy eating, what I considered balance, and the psychological and emotional causes around weight gain.

I thought I was equipped and educated enough to not have struggled with my weight for so long. I felt like a failure. Why can’t I lose weight when it is literally my job to support people with their weight loss goals.

My career suffered because my confidence was so low. I stopped putting myself out there because I was ashamed of how I looked and felt within myself. I was in a rut with no way out.

Then I found Metabolic Balance. What an absolute game changer!

This transformation over 12 weeks has given me my spark back. It has given me my confidence back. It has reminded me of what I can achieve when I have a plan. When I am committed. It has changed my life. I can’t wait to share this with my clients and see their lives transform too 💕

Making changes is hard but SO WORTH IT!

I’ve had 2 popular reels lately and the audience has correctly called out what’s going on

Your health is mainly about choices you make about which foods you put in your body

Notice I said “which” not “how much”

Which foods you pick will determine your nutrient status, how much you will eat, your metabolic health, and how you feel

The number 1 thing we can do to help people is to educate them on what they are putting in their body

It’s not always easy to make changes or accept that they can’t eat the foods they are used to anymore

But the message needs to be clear - it can be affordable to eat real food (cheaper even)

And obesity is not genetic - it’s habits that run in a family

It’s better to change people’s mind with compassion rather than insults btw

Simple spring onion & cheese omelette took max 10 mins to make.

I love omelettes. You can literally add anything and they always turn out edible. You get a great source of protein and fats. And they take no time at all to make.

I saw a post today that reminded me to have fun in the kitchen. You don’t need recipes. Experiment. Learn. Try new things. Thats how you get better at cooking. And that when it becomes enjoyable and stress free. If it doesn’t turn out, at least it’s nutritious 😅

Stress can be the silent killer of health. It influences so many processes in the body, including the digestive system.

The vagus nerve connects the brain to the gut and sends messages back and forth. It is responsible for stimulating digestive enzymes & bowel movements, regulates satiety & inflammation and receives signals from the gut microbiome to further influence the rest of the body.

When we are stressed the vagus nerve function is reduced, causing a reduction in digestion as well. This results in many unwanted symptoms including increased inflammation, food intolerances and IBS to name a few.

A few simple ways to reduce stress and support the vagus nerve include walking in nature (grounding), deep breathing, practicing being present, meditation.

So if you are feeling stressed and also have gut issues, try these techniques and see if it makes a difference for you.

Wishing you a relaxed and stress free Christmas 😊

Enjoy your food, guilt free (it tastes better that way 😜) and if you find yourself over-indulging this silly season, relax and remember it’s ok. The journey of health isn’t linear and living life is part of the process.
