Cultivating sadhana will change your life 💛

10 Days of Yogic Health & Wellbeing

Day 10: Sadhana

"Sadhana is a discipline of the mind and body to serve the soul.. sadhana, aradhana and prabhupati (discipline, attitude and mastery)" - KRI.

Two and a half hours before sunrise is the time for sadhana, the time for our daily practice, the ambrosial hours. But why so early? It is the time when everything is still, when there is little movement outside, and when prana is more abundant.

Nothing is more beautiful than waking for sadhana and seeing the sunrise at the end. I cannot describe the majesty of this enough. It is truly special. And I'm sure all of you gorgeous yogi/yogini's are already taking advantage of this special time of connection each day. However, if you aren't and you'd love to start but are pushed for time, begin with as little as 11 minutes of meditation, or one hour of yoga and meditation practice may suit. There are no rules when it comes to what your practice looks like, it is after all the time for you, for your self-care, for your connection, however that looks, and even if it's after sunrise!

I chose Sadhana to conclude the 10 Days of Yogic Health & Wellbeing, as for me personally, it sets up my whole day with pure goodness. And I've said this before, but I'll say it again, the most important gift you can give yourself is time for you. Whether sitting and watching the sunrise on the beach, or meditating with a warm cuppa in your hands, going for an early walk and consciously breathing, connecting with the beauty of these moments, that IS your sadhana.
