In Australia today, 1 in 2 women are experiencing burnout.
Behind the smiles, the productivity, the school runs, the careers, the caregiving and the constant “holding it all together”… many women are quietly exhausted.
So exhausted that many are now relying on some form of pharmaceutical support just to keep going.
But here’s the deeper question we need to ask as a society:
Why are so many women running on empty in the first place?
Women have become masters of carrying the invisible load the emotional load, the mental load, the family load, the career load.
And somewhere along the way, their own wellbeing slipped to the bottom of the list.
Burnout isn’t a weakness.
Burnout is often a signal.
A signal that something in life needs to change.
A signal that support is needed.
A signal that rest, boundaries, and self-honour matter.
If this is you, please know this:
You are not alone.
You are not failing.
And you deserve a life where you don’t have to survive the day you get to feel well inside it.
Sometimes the most powerful step a woman can take is simply this:
Pausing long enough to come back to herself.
💛
If you’re feeling the weight of burnout, take a breath today.
Drink the tea.
Go for the walk.
Say no when you need to.
Your wellbeing matters.
