The holidays can be joyful… but they can also feel overwhelming, especially for carers and those navigating the NDIS. With so much to organise, it’s important to pause and give yourself a moment of care too.
One of our favorite self-regulation tools is the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique — a simple way to bring your mind back into the present and ease stress in just a few breaths.
This gentle exercise can help settle your nervous system, refocus your thinking, and create a small pocket of calm in the middle of a busy day.
💛 Self-care isn’t selfish — it’s essential.
Whether you're a carer supporting others or an NDIS participant managing your own needs, grounding tools like this can make the festive season feel more manageable and centered.
Take a moment for you today. You deserve it. 🌟
