✨ A new season for Cass Hinchcliffe Speech Pathology ✨

After a wonderful decade in the Gunnedah community — my family and I will be relocating at the end of the year.

I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the families, schools, early learning centres, therapists, and local services I’ve had the privilege to work with.
Our collaboration and connection has shaped my practice in countless meaningful ways.

The clinic will close on Friday the 19th of December, and I will be an email or phone call away if you'd like to arrange handover notes, trial telehealth sessions, or let me know how your child is going next year.

Thank you for your kindness and support during this transition. 🤍

YKNR has got me thinking again - Words In = Words Out…
Allison Tait shares that kids “will need to write hundreds of thousands of words by the time they finish year 12. It’s incredibly difficult to do that on an empty tank and the fuel for writing is words. The more you read, the more you understand about how stories work and the more words you have to put in that tank.”

Day 5 of Speech Pathology Week 💬
Research indicates that 10-20% of high school students have language-based communication difficulties.

We want them to be able to make the most of opportunities that come their way - speech pathologists can help with:

▶️ Vocabulary needed for assessments;
▶️ Deeper understanding of class texts;
▶️ Cues and scripts for social interactions;
▶️ Organising written responses.
