🎂A Very Special Birthday Post 🎂

We don’t usually post birthdays for our team… largely because there’s a strong belief around here that everyone is permanently 21 — and posting about it might make the years official 🙈

But today, we’re making an exception.

Because when it comes our Client Experience Officer, Mel, it’s simply too important not to.

Mel is the quiet powerhouse behind The Place.
The one who makes sure everyone is where they need to be, when they need to be there — and somehow does it all with grace.

She is truly the backbone of our team.

While she’d never ask for the spotlight, we couldn’t let this one pass without celebrating the incredible human who keeps this place humming. Our systems run smoother, our clinicians breathe easier, and our families feel supported — because of Mel.

So yes, we’re officially acknowledging the birthday (which of course has absolutely nothing to do with turning a day over 21 😉).

Mel, we adore you. Thank you for being the steady heart of The Place.

Happy Birthday 🧡✨

📞✨ New phone number, who dis? ✨📞

We’ve got a shiny new number for The Place Occupational Therapy & Family Support
👉 0408 902 706

Why the change?
Because we’re a very busy bunch supporting lots of little (and not-so-little) humans 💛 and this helps us keep our days calm, focused, and present with the families in front of us — not juggling phones mid-session 🙃

A friendly heads-up:
📧 Email or website referrals are still the MVPs for getting the quickest, most thoughtful response - hello@theplacetherapy.com.au or www.theplacetherapy.com.au
📱 Phone line hours: Monday–Friday | 10am–2pm (we check messages once daily and triage based on urgency)

Thanks for rolling with us and helping protect the calm ✨

✨ One Year of Harry ✨

One year of Harry — our Allied Health Assistant, king of the kids, and the reason therapists regularly get ditched mid-session.

Expert builder. Master of Lego, bikes, and big-body movement. Maker of the community library rocket. Dad to Cocoa the dog. Twin of Elfie the Christmas Elf (who is definitely NOT Harry in a costume). Teacher of bike riding, confidence boosting, and brave attempts. Harry brings the patience of a saint, the calmest energy in the room, and the kind of steady advice and support that makes kids feel safe to try, wobble, fall, and try again.

From epic gross motor challenges to perfectly pitched support in the moment, he somehow manages to be exactly where he’s needed every single time. The kids adore him, the team relies on him, and The Place is infinitely better with him in it.

One year down — and we’re so grateful for everything you bring, Harry. Absolute legend. 🧡🚲🧗

✨ ONE YEAR OF JAS ✨

Today we’re celebrating Jasmine’s 1-year anniversary at The Place — and honestly, we don’t know how we ever did life without her.

From day one, Jas has been pure sunshine energy ☀️
Calm, kind, endlessly capable, and always showing up with a smile (even on the wild days). She’s been part of the fabric of The Place from the start — an absolute OG legend — and our clients, families, and team are better because of her.

Thank you, Jas, for your heart, your humour, your dedication, and the way you make people feel safe, seen, and supported. We are so lucky to have you, and we can’t wait to see what the next year brings 🧡

Drop some love for Jas below 👇✨

And now… a few more memories for the grid 🌻🔆🎨

Paint splashes, belly laughs, and school holiday chaos in the best possible way 🎨😂
If you’re wondering how our holiday groups went… this pretty much sums it up.

Messy play, creative freedom, regulation through fun, and zero regrets (even when the boss lady becomes the canvas).
This is what learning looks like at The Place — joyful, child-led, and a little bit wild 💥💛

📫If you’re keen to join in the fun of our school term groups, email hello@theplacetherapy.com.au to book in.

🎒School is back! ✂️✏️

New classrooms, fresh routines, familiar faces, new friendships, and a whole lot of possibility ahead. This time of year can feel full of energy… with a LOT of nerves too.

It’s okay for kids to feel excited and scared at the same time.
And parents — it’s okay if you feel a bit sad, a bit relieved, and quietly grateful for a moment of peace again ☕
All of those feelings can exist together.

After school, a gentle reset can really help:
🔆a favourite snack
🔆movement before questions
🔆space to decompress
🔆low demands for a little while
🔆connection first, reflection later

Big days deserve soft landings.
To our brave kids and parents - we are SO proud of you! ⭐️
