Fostering a sense of belonging by providing an environment of safety, encouragement and respect. Using a person centred approach to provide skill development, and social experiences to suit individual needs. Studio ARTES is dedicated to delivering ’Person Centred Planning’ which is flexible and compatible with each individual's goals, health, interests and changing needs. Encouraging and celebrating the individuality and creativity of every participant

Supporting participants to engage with and experience the arts both recreationally and professionally. Building connections within the broader community to increase for people with disabilities to be involved in wider social, educational and vocational networks. Supporting participants from various cultural, linguistical and religious backgrounds with full consideration to age and gender.

Charitha De Silva, Artwork title: Rainbow

Charitha is a member of Studio ARTES Inner West and has recently completed a vibrant artwork titled Rainbow. Using Sharpies, Charitha has created a colourful and expressive landscape, guided by his own sense of flow and imagination 🌈

He often incorporates traced outlines of his hand into his work, adding a personal and recognisable element to each piece.

Both the Hornsby and Inner West studios at Studio ARTES have once again participated in the Incognito Art Show.

The show is a fundraiser to raise funds to support artists living with disability. The concept is that all artworks are anonymous until they are purchased and then the artist is revealed. 1000s of artists across Australia enter.

Dive into the world of electronic music by creating chords with the Orchid synthesiser. Perfect for all musicians, with lots of cool features like being portable, easy to use and its chord feature on one side and synthesiser on the other, there are endless opportunities to make amazing music.

Last week, Red Dragon held a Year of the Horse Art Exhibition and generously donated profits from the exhibition to Studio ARTES.

This exhibition featured tattoo artists from around the world with various artworks available for purchase. One of our studio managers, Ashlee had the chance to visit the exhibition, see some of the amazing works there and spoke on behalf of the studio.

This past week the Parks and Rec group from our Hornsby Studio had the chance to go to Fagan Park for an outing. It was a great day out with friends, being able to enjoy nature and go on a walk and explore the surroundings!

Our Parks and Rec session is one of our sessions that allows members to go on outings to explore with friends, exploring different beautiful parts of nature!

Over at Inner West this term, members in our Morning Art Sessions have been creating a set of images and learning how to edit the portraits! These images have been inspired by the theme "Make your dreams true" or "Be a Celebrity".

The members first took the photos on the phone or iPad and then edited them in photoshop. Its been a great learning experience for the members and has resulted in amazing portraits!
