We used to think grabbing a bottle of water from the supermarket was the โsafeโ and convenient option. It felt clean, simple, and easy. But once we learned what was actually happening inside those bottles, we couldnโt unlearn it.
When water sits in plastic, especially for weeks or months before we even drink it, tiny pieces of the plastic actually break off into the water. These are called ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ค๐ฅ๐ก๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐จ.
You canโt see them, but your body absorbs them every single time you take a sip.
And hereโs what ๐จ๐๐ค๐๐ ๐๐ me mostโthose little particles donโt just pass through. They can:
๐งDisrupt hormones and affect how our bodies function.
๐งCause inflammation and stress in our cells.
๐งMess with our gut health (which impacts digestion, energy, even immunity).
๐งCarry toxins that weโd never willingly put into our bodies.
Once I learned this, bottled water didnโt feel so โ๐ฅ๐ช๐ง๐โ anymore.
So now, we choose differently. I use a reusable glass or stainless-steel bottle, and when I need something lighter, a good quality BPA-free option.
Itโs better for my body, and itโs one less piece of plastic heading into landfill or our oceans
Sometimes the smallest swaps make the biggest differenceโnot just for us, but for our families, too.
