🌸It’s World Mental Health Day 🌸
I’m late but I’m here! Thanks 😂
It seems to be puppy and dog galore in my orbit at the moment so it felt fitting to post this pic of Rosie — my rescue pup at the Carnival of Flowers in Toowoomba, rocking her “Give Me Space” leash.
Rosie’s leash is a gentle way of saying: “I need room, please be kind”. And that feels like mental health in a nutshell. Advocacy, awareness, and compassion — for ourselves and for others who might be carrying something unseen. Supporting those who are vulnerable, whether they’re people or pups, makes the world a little softer.
At the same time, it’s impossible to ignore that the world feels heavy right now — and that so many communities here and overseas don’t yet have the support services they need. Mental health is deeply important, but often under-resourced, and it’s a hard place to be when the world feels like too much.
