👀Time for a checkup! Are you ready? 👇

You may go to the doctor to get regular checkups of your body, but what about your mind?

Let’s definitely normalise regular mental-health check-ins. Take a moment to assess how you’re feeling on a scale of zero to 10. Or, ask yourself how good you've been feeling lately. Perhaps you've had a short fuse or sleep hasn't been great.

Here are three benefits of conducting regular mental-health check-ins.

✔️ It is a way to prevent problems or stressors

✔️ If you do find problems, you can come up with a plan.

✔️ It's a way to learn about yourself and what's normal.

Remember: It's okay to get help!

Don’t let worrying about what others will think stop you from seeking support.

💛Leave your favourite emoji in the comments if you consistently conduct regular mental health check ins.💛

Negative feelings will always be there, it's about accepting them and learning from them.

It's taken a lot of work for me to build this mindset and it serves me well. It's not about ridding myself of the negative thoughts and feelings, it's catching them before they take over and doing something with them. Through my bipolar, cancer and health journey, this has helped immensely. It's like flipping the switch and turning something you can't control into something you can - the good stuff.

What works for you when dealing with your negative thoughts and emotions?

And my 40th year begins. 🥳

It's not like I thought it would begin, with chemo starting in two days, but there are so many great things to look forward to and I think I might just organise a few more. It's always good to have something to look forward to. Thanks for your support and birthday wishes everyone!😚

Welcome to TMW

Hi, I’m Eva, so glad to have you here!

Since I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2017 and then Generalised Anxiety Disorder a short time later, I’ve been on a quest to live a lifestyle that supports my mental health. It is this quest that lead me to make the focus of The Multitasking Woman about mindset, mental health and well-being for busy women after quite some time purely focusing on being a mum.

Through this blog, I am to encourage and inspire women on their mental health journey. I’m striving to achieve my goals and dreams and I want to help others along the way, help feel less alone in this juggle, particularly those dealing with mental health issues. I also want to remove the stigma that surrounds mental illness, I’m definitely not afraid to talk about it and tell it how it is; it’s no different to other illnesses eventhough it’s silent.

I do my best to ensure that each piece of content I publish helps a busy woman fist pump the air in some way; encouraged to give something a go, inspired to try something new, filled with newfound confidence or equipped with a new perspective. I also have a building library of free printable mental health reasources too - https://themultitaskingwoman.com/free-mental-health-resources/
