2025 FREMANTLE CBC CHRISTMAS PARTY

Fantastic night hosting our Annual Christmas Party at Clancy's Fish Pub (Fremantle) with over 65 people in attendance. It was fabulous catching up with everyone

A huge thank you to Clancy's for their continued sponsorship of our Player Award Vouchers for the 2025 football season and we are so happy that they are also sponsoring the team for the 2026 football season.

Thank you also to Manager Sharon for orangising our function and all their staff for ensuring that we had a lovely Christmas Party on Tuesday night.

At 7.20 pm Santa entered the" Clancy House"and he made a surprise visit all the way from the North Pole to hand out the Secret Santa presents to all the players who have been really good this year ! Santa was very impressed that our CBC Integrated Football Team won the Division 2 Grand Final this year

Mrs Christmas gave each player a gift of a stubby holder with a pair of funky socks and chocolates from our Kick-It Chilli Sauce sponsor.

Thank you Rikki for capturing the event with your great photos :)

Merry Christmas to you all

Thank you to our CBC players/team officials and Rocky from NuCare who attended the City of Melville "Let's Get to Work Event last night at Shirley Strickland Sports Pavillion.

In the lead up to International Day of People with Disability - Let's Get to Work: Celebrating Out Unity was a networking sundowner bringing business owners and people with disability together on employment.

A discussion panel outlined how businesses are supported to employ people with disability, demonstrate how employing people with disability is good for business, and equip families and carers with knowledge on how to access supports for employment.

All our players walked away with a lot of reading resources distributed by the many Employment Agencies who were there last night. Let's hope our players can secure some good employment in the future !

Purpose
The event aims to make it easy for business owners to know how to employ people with disability, to connect them to people with disability in a welcoming atmosphere, and to present services available for business. A further outcome is that stakeholder relationships built through this will provide opportunities in 2026 for collaboration on inclusive employment and in industry traineeship.

Focusing on inclusive employment aligns with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA effort on tapping the talent pool of people with disability, supporting businesses' diversity and inclusion strategies to increase employment of people with disability within small to medium enterprises.

I will be attending this event and I hope to see a few of our footy lads attending to learn more about securing employment.

Kind regards
Heather Timms
