Match Report: Fremantle CBC vs. Warnbro
Date: 4 March 2026
Final Score: Fremantle CBC 15.10 (100) def. Warnbro 9.5 (59)

A Centimetre Perfect Tribute:-
The afternoon began with a sombre and respectful moment as both teams observed a minute of silence for the legendary Dennis Cometti, who passed away today at age 76. It was a fitting tribute to the "Voice of Football" before the siren sounded for what would be a display of incredible endurance.

Seven Against the Elements:-
Fielding a side of only seven players, Fremantle CBC put on a masterclass in fitness and spirit. With no bench and no breaks, the team braved sweltering conditions for both halves without a single player leaving the field.

Captain’s Lead:-
This week’s captain, Scott Petez, continues to go from strength to strength in his debut season. While he’s still mastering the finer points of the rulebook, his eye for the big sticks remains lethal, snagging 2 goals and leading the charge from the front.

Goal-Kicking Masterclass:-
In a rare display of total team versatility, every single CBC player rotated through the forward line to hit the scoreboard:

The Run Home:-
CBC dominated the opening half to build a solid lead, but Warnbro refused to go down without a fight. In a spirited second-half comeback, Warnbro actually outscored us 9 goals to 8, testing the fitness and skills of our seven players right to the end. Despite the intensity of the contest in the sweltering heat, the highlight was the incredible sportsmanship shown by both sides after the final siren—a true credit to the spirit of the game.

AFL 9s Integrated
Game Report

Another great game of AFL Nine's down in Rockingham on Wednesday night.

Captain this week was Connor Cridge who scored the teams first goal.

Aaron, our honorary CBC player from Mandurah Mustangs also scored a goal for the lads along with Scott and Kyron kicking one each.

Scoring two goals each this week were Caleb and Brayden.

It may not have seemed it on the scoreboard at the end, with CBC 8.13 61 defeating Warnbro 3.5 23, but the Warnbro team really made our guys work for it this week with some outstanding teamwork of calling and passing the ball around. One thing is for sure, Warnbro's game play is certainly making our guys fitter every week from all the running as it is rare to see a loose ball chased down uncontested.

Round 3 - AFL INTEGRATED 9's UPDATE
Fremantle CBC vs Warnbro Swans
@ Anniversary Park, Rockingham
18th February 2026

Captain : Kyron Timms

This afternoon we welcomed Te-Hana Mahauariki (affectionately known as “Big T”) who will be playing for our Fremantle CBC Integrated Team this season. Te-Hana has played several years of Rugby with the Southern Lions All Abilities Rugby Team but he has never played AFL football, however he was soon into the game getting a few touches and kicks of the football. After the game he told me he really enjoyed playing football with our CBC Team.

It’s only Round 3 and we can already see a huge improvement in our players abilities on the field, their communication, handballing, kicking, teamwork plus their fitness have certainly improved.

Again, this week, Coach Cullum Winn mixed up the field and giving several players the chance to wear the forward bibs, so they had the opportunity to kick goals.

Stand out player this game was our new player Scott Petez who kicked an amazing 5 goals before he was put into the backline to learn the defence role.

After the game we headed to the Sporting Globe for a quick catch up before the long journey home.

AFL INTEGRATED 9's UPDATE

Fremantle CBC vs Warnbro Swans
@ Anniversary Park, Rockingham
11th February

Unfortunately three of our CBC players were unable to play this afternoon, so we fielded a team of 9 players and Warnbro Swans fielded 10 players.

It was awesome to see our CBC players get more involved with the game this week with lots more sharing of the ball around and communicating with each other plus they had a better understanding of the 9s Rules. Players have learnt that only the forwards wearing the goal kicking bibs can kick goals 😉 otherwise it's a point.

As we didn't have a bench, all nine players played the full 2 x 20 minute halves (40 minutes) of the game without requiring a break. This style of game is a fantastic preseason fitness workout.

Coaches shared the goal kicking vests around several players with lots of goal opportunities.

After the game both teams came together to enjoy some refreshing sliced watermelon 🍉 $5 for a whole watermelon from Gelati's on Wray Avenue, Fremantle. What a bargain, it was cheaper than buying a 500 gm packet of Snakes 🐍 😳😉🙃but I love to spoil our lads, so I bought both 😉
