👁️ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY SPECIALIST

We are excited to share a new specialist service we are pleased to offer at Pilbara Therapy Services in 2026. Amy is a tertiary qualified Orientation and Mobility Specialist now supporting people in our community living with a vision impairment.

It is an unique and less known profession so we would love to create some awareness of this important and valuable service! Please see attached an important fact sheet on all things O&M.

Side Note: Amy works part time, 2-3 days school hours 9am-2pm if clients are curious about this service.

🌟 Friendly Reminder for Parents & Guardians during Therapy.

At Pilbara Therapy Services, your child’s safety, wellbeing, and therapy outcomes are our top priority 💙
To help us provide a safe and effective environment for everyone, we kindly ask parents and guardians to note the following:

✅ Parental Presence for children under the age of 16 at Pilbara Therapy Services for therapy sessions.

Please arrive 5 minutes before your child’s appointment.

A parent or guardian must remain onsite for the full duration of the session.

You’re welcome to relax in our designated waiting area while your child is in therapy.

👶 Sibling Supervision

We understand siblings may need to attend appointments at times.

Parents/guardians are responsible for actively supervising all children in their care.

Siblings must stay with you in the waiting area and not access therapy rooms or equipment, unless approved by your therapist.

⚠️ Important to Note

If these guidelines aren’t followed, sessions may need to be rescheduled to ensure everyone’s safety.

If you have any questions or concerns, our Senior Management Team is always happy to help.

Josh will be helping out at our sister company during January if anyone knows any Bunbury residents looking for great Physio support!

👋 Welcoming Josh Yates to South West Therapy Services

Josh will be visiting our Dalyellup clinic from January 5–23, 2026, travelling down from Karratha to work with the local community while Physiotherapists Tim and Aaron are away. Originally born in Bunbury and a Bunbury Catholic College graduate, it’s great to welcome him back to the South West.

📚 Background & Training
• Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy
• Currently completing a Master’s in Strength & Conditioning at ECU
• Completed courses in chronic pain (Pain Unstuck) and advanced strength & conditioning with Merv Travers
• Advanced dry needling trained
• Attended the ACL Symposium in Perth (2023)
