Most people think first aid is just a box you tick.

You do the course. You get the certificate. You forget about it.
But the real benefit?

It changes how you show up when things go wrong.
Confidence under pressure.
Knowing what to do instead of freezing.
Being the person others look to in a crisis.

And honestly? That’s a pretty underrated thing to give someone especially around Christmas.

Not another candle. Not socks. A skill they carry for life.

We wrote a blog on the surprising benefits of learning first aid (and no, it’s not just CPR).

Worth a read if you’ve ever thought, “I’d have no idea what to do."

When you stop and think about first aid training and the skills it develops, you might think about things like learning how to save lives or learning how to react in an emergency.  These are in no doubt valuable and wonderful capabilities to learn and develop.  But interestingly th

My 2025 Wrapped is here and it still doesn’t feel real.

This year I quit my job, took First Aid Everyday full-time, taught 33,300 minutes of lifesaving skills, and saw 86% of my students come back for more.

And yes… Lyla ended up being my “Top Artist” because apparently I talked to her more than anyone else 😂

Thank you to everyone who supported, booked, learned, recommended, reviewed, or even just cheered me on this year.

I’m so grateful. 💛💚

Who knew after filming this I would come down with a nasty throat infection. There’s nothing in our first aid manual for that 🤒

If your answer isn’t “cool running water for 20 minutes”… we need to talk 👀

Read this before you end up making a burn worse instead of better

This month we are talking about burns and how to best treat them.  Burns can occur from many different sources, but most commonly because of hot temperatures contacting the skin of a person.  Burns can range from mild, superficial partial or first degree burns to second degree burn

Growing up, First Aid and CPR were drilled into me before I even learned how to read and write.
(Might explain a lot if you know me 😅)

Recently, we did some research into the history of CPR and it reminded me that even the skills we take for granted have a deeply human story behind them.

First Aid Everyday will always honour our founder’s mission:
💚 Learning how to save lives together.

But since taking over, I wanted to add something that reflects how we teach, train, and connect with people every single day.

Our second core value is now officially:
💚Teaching First Aid like your life depends on it.

Because as history shows us CPR is more than just a skill.
It’s a story worth knowing… and a skill worth learning. 🫀

Have you ever wondered about CPR and its origins?  When did it all begin and how did it become a life-saving skill.  Well, a quick internet search answers all these questions and more.  In summary, we have listed it here for your education and amusement. CPR ( C ardio

⚡ Should AEDs be mandatory in every state?

South Australia has just passed a new law requiring AEDs in public and large commercial buildings by 2026, a move that’s set to save lives.

AEDs can increase survival rates by up to 70% when used within the first few minutes of cardiac arrest.

What do you think, should NSW (and the rest of Australia) follow?

An AED won’t shock until it needs to. It takes the guesswork out for you, once it’s on, trust it to guide you every step of the way

Trust it. Use it. Save someone 💚

Yesterday’s course with some of our local Bunnings stores absolutely blew us away 💚

We set up a high-pressure scenario where I played the role of a mum whose baby had stopped breathing. Normally, my trainer and I guide the scenario… but this time, something amazing happened.

Before we could even step in, the team jumped into action they worked together to perform CPR, deliver a shock to the manikin infant, and even had team members comforting me while managing the scene.

It felt real.
It was emotional.
It was everything a real emergency could be.

When it was over, my trainer and I were honestly lost for words.

Because what we saw wasn’t just great teamwork, it was proof of how powerful first aid training can be when people care enough to really show up.

💚 This is why we do what we do.
