As a secondary stream to our main 16 Days of Activism event (on the 4th of December), we are excited to offer a series of professional development webinars through the eSafety Commissioner.

💜 Honouring National Survivors’ Day 💜

Today we recognise the strength and resilience of survivors of sexual abuse — and the advocates, allies, and communities who walk beside them.

Survivors carry stories that deserve to be heard, not hidden. Their courage challenges silence, transforms pain into purpose, and lights the way toward a future free from abuse.

By listening with compassion, believing without question, and standing together in respect, we can create a culture where every voice is valued and every story matters.

Show your support today — tie a coloured ribbon to your fence, letterbox, or workplace and let it speak loudly for hope, healing, and justice.

💜 16 Days of Activism – Bathurst 2025 💜

We’re proud to share a calendar of events celebrating community action, awareness, and solidarity during the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence.

Join us to raise our voices — and our noise! — in support of a world free from violence. For the main event on the 4th of December we encourage you to bring your drum, whistle, or any noise-maker and take part in our community march and activities.

This movement welcomes everyone – women and men alike – who want to see an end to violence and stand together for equality and respect.

💜 Don’t forget to wear purple and white – the colours of activism, courage, and feminism.

Explore the full calendar of events below and join us in making some noise for change!.

We were so honoured to present the Woman of the Year Award at Saturday’s NAIDOC Ball. Congratulations to Julie Bennett, an amazing person working hard for Aboriginal empowerment through education at Charles Sturt University.

Our staff member Nova has supported the Walan Yinaagirbang dance group, who gave a deadly performance. We loved watching their growth and confidence and Congratulations to Katrina Lane, who took out Community Project of the Year for her work leading this amazing group.

A favourite moment was watching the Aunties celebrate together.

We had a great night and are in awe of what our Aboriginal community achieves.
Thanks for the invite

Join us for Dying To Know Day - a national movement that encourages people of all ages and stages to plan ahead, understand their options, and creatively design the way they’d like their life and legacy to be celebrated.

Our very own Breanna Carmody will be presenting on the day.
A specialist in grief and bereavement, Breanna brings a deeply compassionate and creative approach to supporting people through deathcare, loss, and the big existential questions that come with being human. She’s passionate about helping others explore death and dying, and empowering them to connect with the transformative nature of death, dying and loss.

This is sure to be a thought-provoking and inspiring event that will reminds us that talking about death is really about living well!

On our road trip to the NSW Business Awards, we made a special stop to visit our neighbours in the mountains and sisters in solidarity — the Blue Mountains Women’s Health & Resource Centre (BMWHRC). 💜

We were so impressed by the warmth and homely charm of their service, and deeply admire their strong advocacy and activism for women’s health and safety. It’s always inspiring to connect with like-minded people who creating real change in their communities.

Red carpet smiles all around! Our Executive Director Karen Boyde summed it up perfectly — “Not winners, but still grinners!”

We had a wonderful night celebrating hard work, connection, and community spirit at the NSW State Business Awards. Our Journey through the local, regional and state rounds was a new and exciting undertaking for our Centre. We feel the warm and fuzzies being recognised for the work we do as a not-for-profit. We're a small team of 9 who are dedicated to empowering our local women and young people. This is an opportunity for women's work to be valued - both paid and unpaid!

We also took time connect with the Blue Mountains and Penrith Women's Health Centres. Stay tuned over the coming days as we share more photos from our time away.
