This month, one of our legendary NDIS participants and I are riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
This is our 4th year doing this challenge together!

And today is Kick Cancer's Butt Day, where ALL donations will be MATCHED by supporters of the charity (up to $710,000) - so it's the best time to support my challenge to help these kids.

Please sponsor us now and your donation will be MATCHED - but hurry, it's for today ONLY!

This was such an awesome chat! I sat down with the amazing Mikaela Magro, a 19-year-old from the Central Coast who is heading to Tokyo for the Deaflympics with the Australian Women's Deaf Football team. We chatted about everything from the incredible tech that helps her hear, to the on-field secret signs, and the one rule that could get the whole team instantly disqualified!

Oh, and the party tricks that come with having a magnet attached to your skull.

What an amazing day of football and accessibility.
It was great to be part of such a wonderful event and to see such positive results for sporting inclusion on the Central Coast ๐Ÿฅณ

And thatโ€™s a rap to our first gala day. We will sift through all of the pictures and videos to post in the next few days.

Weโ€™re gradually introducing shorter funding periods in participants' plans to help participants more easily manage their budgets.

If youโ€™re starting a new NDIS plan or going through a reassessment, you will now have a discussion about funding periods in your plan.

The length of funding period will be based on participantโ€™s individual circumstances and will usually be a three-month funding period.

You might be asking, but what if my needs suddenly change?

It may be a change in what you can or canโ€™t do because of your disability, a change in your informal supports, or your life has changed in a significant way.

You can request a plan reassessment at any time.

Let us know as soon as possible if your circumstances change. You will need to provide to provide evidence and information about what has changed.

While all NDIS plans are built to last the length of the plan, we know support needs can fluctuate.

Itโ€™s also important to know any unspent funds in one period are rolled over to the next as funding periods do not change the total value of a plan.

You can learn more about the changes at ๐Ÿ’ป https://ow.ly/RIaK50WasbZ
