💜 Purple Day 2026 💜
Because understanding creates inclusion.

Today, we stand in support of individuals living with epilepsy — raising awareness, building understanding, and recognising the importance of safe, informed and inclusive support.

At Hello Ability, this isn’t just about awareness days.
It’s about how we show up every day.

We believe quality support means:
✔️ Knowing the person — not just the diagnosis
✔️ Understanding individual needs, risks and strengths
✔️ Creating environments where people feel safe, supported and confident
✔️ Ongoing staff training to ensure our team are equipped, informed and confident in their support
✔️ Strong leadership oversight to maintain consistency, safety and quality across every support
✔️ Working alongside families, support coordinators and allied health to deliver the right care

Because when support is intentional, people don’t just participate -
they thrive.

✨ Quarterly funding series
POST 4 of 4. The Solution.

So what does this look like when it’s done properly?

At Hello Ability, we’ve adapted early to the quarterly funding model - because we knew consistency for participants depends on it.

Our approach is structured, proactive and transparent:

✔️ We map supports across each quarter not annually or week to week
✔️ We align service bookings with approved quarterly budgets
✔️ We factor in things like Public Holidays and higher support periods
✔️ We communicate early with Plan Managers and Support Coordinators
✔️ We actively monitor usage to prevent over or under servicing

The goal is simple:
👉 No surprises
👉 No gaps in support
👉 No unpaid services

Because when this isn’t managed properly, participants feel it first.

Already with another provider and things aren’t adding up?

You don’t have to stay stuck.

We can:
✔️ Review how your funding is currently being used
✔️ Help identify where things may be going wrong
✔️ Work alongside your current supports to stabilise things
✔️ Or support a smooth transition if needed

No pressure - just clarity and a better way forward.

📩 If you want a more structured, proactive approach to your supports, we’re always here to chat.

👉 If you’re a Support Coordinator or Plan Manager wanting providers who get it - let’s connect.

✨ Quarterly funding series
POST 3 of 4 - Plan Managers + SCs Its your time to shine!

Why tracking and “quarantining” funding now matters more than ever

With multiple providers supporting one participant, the risk is higher than ever.

Plan Managers and Support Coordinators now play a key role in:

✔️ Tracking how funding is being used in real time
✔️ “Quarantining” or allocating budgets across providers
✔️ Ensuring one provider doesn’t unintentionally exhaust shared funds
✔️ Protecting all agreed supports so everyone gets paid correctly

Because without this…

💸 One provider may over-service
❌ Which means another provider may not be paid
⚠️ And participants lose consistency

This isn’t about blame - it’s about adapting to a system that now requires tighter structure.

✨World Down Syndrome Day 2026
This year’s theme, Together Against Loneliness, is a powerful reminder that everyone deserves connection, inclusion and a true sense of belonging.

Loneliness is reduced when people are welcomed, valued and supported to fully participate in their community.

At Hello Ability, we believe inclusion matters every day — because connection changes lives. 💙💛

POST 2 of 4 - Provider Reality

NDIS Quarterly Funding - what providers are now required to manage

Under the new system, providers can’t just deliver supports and invoice as they go.

They are now required to:

✔️ Quote supports across the full plan period
✔️ Break that down into quarterly allocations
✔️ Deliver supports within those approved amounts
✔️ Not invoice over what has been allocated for that quarter

But here’s where it gets tricky…

👉 Supports aren’t always evenly spread across the year.

For example:
📅 Public Holidays
📅 Changes in support needs
📅 Increased supports during certain periods

Some quarters will naturally cost more than others -
but the quarterly funding release doesn’t always reflect that leaving providers short.

This creates real pressure on how supports are planned and delivered.

And if funding isn’t being tracked correctly across all providers…

👉 One provider can unintentionally use more than their share
👉 Leaving another provider unpaid for supports already delivered

We’re already seeing this happen.

This is why coordination, visibility and forward planning are now critical - not optional.

🤩Picton — We’re Opening Soon. 🤩

Hello Ability’s Picton Day Hub will be open to visit from Tuesday 7th April 🎉

Our Day Hub has been designed to give participants something different - real connection to their local community.

Unlike programs based outside the area, our focus is on supporting people within Wollondilly, with direct access to local businesses, retail and everyday community opportunities.

With proven experience delivering Day Programs across Macarthur, we are proud to now bring this model into Picton and the wider Wollondilly region.

Our programs focus on:
✔ Structure and routine
✔ Skill development
✔ Social connection
✔ Real community participation

This is not a “fill in the day” program - it’s designed for growth, independence and meaningful outcomes.

POST 1 of 4 - The Big Picture

✨ NDIS Quarterly Funding - it’s more complex than people think.

If you’re a participant, family, Support Coordinator or provider, you’ve probably felt the impact already…

But what many don’t realise is -
this system now requires much tighter coordination behind the scenes.

It’s not just about delivering supports anymore.
It’s about how funding is allocated, tracked and protected across a full quarter.

Because when it’s not managed properly:
💸 Providers may not get paid
⚠️ Supports can stop unexpectedly
📅 Participants can be left without services

Over the next few posts, we’ll break down what’s actually required to make this system work - for everyone.

👉 Have you felt the impact yet?
