🚧 Clayton Road Footpath Project Begins! 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚗

Livingstone Shire Council will kick off Stage 1 of the Clayton Road Footpath Project on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, improving safety and connectivity in the Lammermoor Beach area.

The project will deliver new pathways, upgraded crossings, kerb and channel, and a fresh road surface between Scenic Highway and Evelyn Street.

🦺 Traffic impacts:
🚧Mid-Oct to mid-Nov 2025: Clayton Road (Scenic Hwy to Evelyn St) closed to all traffic - Detours via Mulambin Road.
🚧Mid-Nov–Dec: Day closures and single-lane traffic on Scenic Hwy.
🚧Late Dec–Feb: Day closures on Scenic Hwy; northbound detour via Mulambin & Clayton Rds.

🛑No bus stops will close, but minor delays expected.

Council thanks residents, commuters, and visitors for their understanding and urges everyone to follow signage, detours, and allow extra travel time during the works.

Hey all
From Mid October through to mid November the Clayton Rd turn off will be closed… This means if you are coming from town you will need to detour to the next right turn off at Mulumbin Road and comeback that way!… Its annoying I understand.. but during this period if you could allow 5 extra minutes in travel time.

Hey all… Please be aware when using your private health insurance card …, there should be no real reason for the healthcare provider to take a photo of your insurance card… If they take a photo please question them why they have done this!… If they have no Hicaps capability to claim on the spot.. ask for a receipt so you can claim yourself online after the treatment…

Be vigilant with it! 😊
